As a scientist I understand that sounds, colors, and even solid objects are illusions of our mind interpreting our sensory inputs. And my intellect is amused by how easily our minds are deceived. At times I think this knowledge is more of an impedance to meditation. LOL.

I start to panic when there's only sound, this happens with sight as well. My heart starts to race and there's a felt need to 'know' what is happening. Like, without a story it's scary. I know there is no personal I. That's been seen a number of times...I'm starting to cry, like I'm morning my own death, while I''m still alive. It's the fear though...it catapults me back to needing a story, a felt need to know what is happening. This fear, terror has been happening for some years, I can't seem to get past it. The only thing I know to do is to keep trying, keep facing the fear, keep looking

Well maybe "tease" a little. I'll make a video about it. I've had more than one person tell me I teach neo-advaita lol. I've also had people tell me what I say sounds like Dzogchen. Honestly I just speak from immediate experience. The concern I have with the Tony Parsons way of speaking isn't that it doesn't work for many (it does), nor is it that he's not liberated (I think he is although he wouldn't say it that way :0) My concern is simply that if you speak a certain way consistently then the collective social ego-matrix tends to get ahold of it and turn it into a script or stereotyped way of speaking. Then it can both be misunderstood and also people who don't have deep insight (but may have had an awakening) can walk around speaking that way, totally missing the point. Tony himself has said this more than once, something to the effect of, "I know people who can say the open secret message in five sentences and they just understand it, it is not experiential." This ability to mix things up but keep the core pointing intact is reasonably rare among teachers I think, but it is very important and a powerful way to transmit IMO. Adyashanti does this very very well. I also think Gangaji is very good. Mooji as well. When it comes to step wise approach from a deeply realized person who knows the nuances of each movement of realization, that's very hard to do without a lot of ambiguity but I think with very good pointing and through the method of effective inquiry it's possible to do it reasonably consistently. Kevin Shanilec comes to mind Simplytheseen.com

@@SimplyAlwaysAwake Totally agree! At some point I was quickly “hooked” on the way TP and the rest of the team talk. So clear, so direct, so consistent. But then, as quickly as I was hooked, I could only pass through first 10 pages of Open Secret. It felt just odd and mechanical so to say. My brain learned very quickly what exactly he is going to answer to whatever typical question. And I don’t want to blame TP for that, I think it’s rather the problem of a medium. His message, I guess, better to be heard and discussed live with him, not through the books or even videos. Ability to mix things up, or I’d phrase it, to not hold to any concept too heavily, this is something that I totally needed I think. It makes things real and honest. Anyway, I'm happy I’ve stumbled upon you, you’re doing great work!

@@AlexeyChe17 thanks :)… yeah everything has its place … there’s something so enticing about indeterminacy… it is the underlying engine that drives the appearance of reality. The key to that is dissolving inherent view as well as clear nondual. It’s like winning the lottery every second in a sense. It’s also nothing at all, unfindable, unlocatable, not apart, not absent…. Heart Sutra really points to this nicely No withering, no death, no end of them. Not is there pain or cause of pain or cease in pain, Not even wisdom to attain ☄️🌈❤️

When you talk about the 'first awakening' and the big shift that's connected to that... my question is: Does the awakening have to be permanent from that point on? Because in my case after having a short but crystal clear awakening it felt like it went away... and I was back to "normal". I'm asking because I don't consider myself enlightened or awake or anything. But when that happened the first thing I remember noticing was "OHHH I am ALREADY enlightened!!" It was easy to see. Easy to understand that I'm not the person. And I didn't care that I'm not the person. Does this understanding have to become permanent? Glad if you answer and as always thank you for the work you do!
@SimplyAlwaysAwake
@SimplyAlwaysAwake 2 жыл бұрын
This is pretty typical yes. If you suddenly took it upon yourself to teach everyone in the world to be enlightened after awakening I would be concerned lol. From here there are sjust some subtle refinements in experience that clarify things further,. no need to look for some big event because there wont be any 😋

If "just listening" without thoughts is happening, can meaning still be understood in the moment ? As I am listening to this video, there seems to be short periods with no thoughts. But at the same time the meannig of the words are understood. I am trying to see then, if that understanding is subtle thoughts i dont see, or not thoughts at all. if that understanding is subtle thoughts, i dont see it as I see normal thoughts, which are either seen, recognixed and then gone, or i take a ride on that thought train. thx for great video :)

Yes. For decades. It is continuous 7.5 mega hertz. In 1972 my teacher, Rudi, told me it was the Om Sound. Ajahn Sumedho calls it the sound of silence, others speak of Nada Yoga
