Polar bears have black skin and white fur. The fur acts as a fiber optic cable to allow the black polar bear to absorb as much light as possible. What color is the polar bear?

You're rigth. I confused the terms line and straight line, cause i'm italian.. and stupid. There are no parallel straight lines on the sphere.. now do you agree?

Actually, there are infinite points on the globe where the photographer could be but no bears live there.

Imagine walking down towards the south pole, doing a circle around it and then walking back up where you started. There are infinite starting points where this can happen near the south pole and their locus is a circle. Furthermore, if you allow for multiple rounds over the south pole (walking on a tighter radius) there are infinite circles the photographer could have started from.
@davethesid896011 ай бұрын
@@vasilisthemelis9017 Why infinitely many? The distance you have to walk determines the circle's circumference hence the latitude. The one extra (and the looping) is only true if you don't distinguish between edges. Like you could say you sow the path you cover, then you can't go back the same way. So the answer depends on the careful wording of the riddle.
@vasilisthemelis901711 ай бұрын
As long as you do an integral amount of circles around the South pole you will go back to where you starter
@davethesid896011 ай бұрын
@@vasilisthemelis9017 Sorry, but I don't get it. Oh, and one more thing: in the original riddle the fact that the photographer took a photo of bear implies that he did see a bear, however, there are no bears living near the South Pole.
