This bears no similarity in any way, shape, or form to my own process of applying to an Ivy League graduate school for fine arts. I don't even recall submitting a portfolio, however I had excellent references from undergrad art professors and a resume' listing many honors, awards, and even museum exhibitions. In any case, one of my main goals there was to demonstrate a level of draftsmanship ability that would likely surpass that of most or all of the professors at any art school, at least any that I ever met.

I am here in 2023 i just want to say that you should be proud that you got accepted in to Yale because Yale is in the top 3 and Harvard is in 2nd and Yale it is suuuuuuch a good school in the 1st place known for its strong reputation, exceptional undergraduate teaching, and excellent music and drama programs. You should be very proud!

@@davethesid8960 You can a do that when you are 1+(1÷2pi) away from the South Pole. You can also do that when you are1+(1÷(2×2pi)), 1+(1÷(3×2pi)), 1+(1÷(4×2pi)), ....... away from the South Pole.

Actually, there are infinite points on the globe where the photographer could be but no bears live there.

Imagine walking down towards the south pole, doing a circle around it and then walking back up where you started. There are infinite starting points where this can happen near the south pole and their locus is a circle. Furthermore, if you allow for multiple rounds over the south pole (walking on a tighter radius) there are infinite circles the photographer could have started from.

@@vasilisthemelis9017 Why infinitely many? The distance you have to walk determines the circle's circumference hence the latitude. The one extra (and the looping) is only true if you don't distinguish between edges. Like you could say you sow the path you cover, then you can't go back the same way. So the answer depends on the careful wording of the riddle.

Hi Eva, I have pretty much read/watched/listened to every single essay out there, but yours is by far my favorite. Your essay feels the least gimmicky and exaggerated. I'm writing this because your video has helped me realize that a good college essay isn't about telling the most dramatic story... I just submitted my last application and I am super panicky, so I guess here I am again watching your video to calm down :)

Ive been trying to wrap my head around how to see/visualize in 3d, I think it just takes a lot of practice, especially when ur trying to visualize all cross sections while also mentally manipulating the object. How would shadows/light/colors be visualized in 3 dimensions?
