Your comment displays a lack of understanding as to what "Plot Armor" refers to. Plot Armor is where a character overcomes circumstances that they logically should not be able to overcome by any means, just so that the plot is fulfilled as planned. Usually, this armor comes in the form of plot devices such as Deus Ex Machina, Retcons and Asspulls. An example of this is the ending of the Deidara Vs Sasuke fight. We see that the explosion is already started before Sasuke so much as starts the summoning jutsu, so there's one problem. Then, he's exhausted, so he shouldn't be capable of summoning Manda, a high tier summon (equivalent to at least a solo lower Tailed Beast due to scaling with Gamabunta, who could go hand to hand against Shukaku with a Jinchuriki), let alone putting him under a Genjutsu, especially in such a short time frame. Finally, we even know they were caught in the blast, of an attack that vaporized everything in a 10km radius, except them. It killed Manda, but even then, the damage doesn't even look that impressive. This is ignoring the other glaring issues of the fight (such as Kishimoto suddenly granting the Sharingan the ability to see chakra, which was up till this point, something unique to the Byakugan). None of this is to say that Emporio has Plot Armor. Emporio won due to preestablished rules, all's fair about this. But Plot Armor 100% is a thing. Writers often do this thing where they write something because it is cool, then realize that they added something that has far more applications than initially thought, which can cause narrative issues. Good example of this is how absolutely FUBAR the speed scaling of Jujutsu Kaisen is, where Sukuna could be anywhere between Mach 3 and FTL due to certain fights, but is getting currently jumped by people who are not even 10% that speed. From a logical standpoint, Sukuna should not be struggling at all right now, but the story portrays otherwise.

@@Sassaparilla I'm aware of what plot armor is, but people usually use it because "this strong character shouldn't lose because they're strong", instead of when it should be used like "there's literally NO reason this guy should be alive right now". One of the points in JoJo's that I consider plot armor is Risotto vs Doppio, not because "Risotto is so strong that he shouldn't lose", but because "Doppio is literally bleeding the entire fight and already lost the all of the iron in his body by the end of the fight, how is this man even moving anymore". Under no circumstance should've Doppio been able to crawl that far, and then have enough energy to move like he was before attacking Abbacchio and then move like nothing a few hours later, other than "He's the main villain, we need him".

Doppio had already lost ALL of the iron within his body, his blood was already yellow, he hadn't been breathing for a while now, and eating a live frog would give you roughly 2 to 3 MILLIgrams of iron. Accept it, there's literally no way Doppio should've been alive or even be able to move after Risotto offed himself. Let alone escape, tie a kid's mouth with his own shoelaces and then move around and run while killing Abbacchio.

Some of the info is wrong. White Snake CAN give you two stands, Diver Down can go in Annasui and Heavy Weather does in fact literally turn you into a snail. It’s briefly mentioned that subliminal messages can cause physical changes.

The author Hirohiko Araki is a huge fan of western culture, so alot of characters and Stands are named after songs, artists and fashion designers. Even Dio himself is named after musician Ronnie James Dio, but it's also the Italian word for god which fits with what the character wanted to be.
