My friend has never heard K-pop so I have no idea if she'll have any interest in it, but I'm hoping to get her to love it as much as I do. In this K-pop reaction we both give our overall thoughts.

Super's lyrics might seem a little weird but it actually follows a storyline! The korean title is "Son Wugong" or Sun Wukong, the monkey king from Journey to the West! Which is why in the chorus they sing "feels like i turned into sun wukong" :-)

They are just a carbon copy of Blackpink. The sets are just Blackpink hand me downs and the song was meant for Blackpink but they didn't renew their contract with YG (Thank God) so Baby monster just sang a sloppy second of a rejected song. I agree they are all mad talented, I have zero hate for them, But come on YG. Do something original.

Hi, I very like your videos. It is a very good idea to introduce the kpop (xpop) genre to your friends and acquaintances. XG is one of the most professional girl groups in my opinion, and I know that GRL GVNG is one of their most spectacular video clips, but unfortunately it is not complete and one of the most important parts is missing from it, the rap line. So, if I may suggest, put another of their videos at nexttime too (e.g. Winter Without You), where the entire repertoire of the group can be presented. I am glad that you also discovered them and sees that they are at a very high level in everything, and even more professional as time goes by. Once again, thank you very much for your video, the girl was very cute and we look forward to your next similar video.

Getting into kpop is not so easy. My first reaction to watching kpop mvs was also kinda same. Because it’s a new language and new song arrangement, it’ll take sometime to get used to the song. Infact some of my all time fav songs are the songs that I didn’t even like on the first listen. So I understand her reaction. On the first listen we can only see the potential on whether we might like it in the future or not✌️

I'm here for Baby Monster, but XG is still promoting themselves as XPOP. It's too bad for Koreans to see it. If I had said K-pop with confidence, I think I would have had a bigger fan base. (Personal opinion) The name XG has become famous, but it's not as many views as I thought.

I understand, but it’s not XG fault. It’s those korean or non korean kpop fans who have problem because they are so small minded and xenophobic. Imagine if XG claimed to be K-Pop, next thing these losers gonna complain why XG don’t sing in Korean, or why XG don’t have Korean members. XG never claimed to be K-Pop but some people already accusing them pretending to be K-Pop and don’t like them promoting in Korea. XG claimed to be X-Pop not because they are anti Korea, but because they don’t want to limit their activities in Japan and Korea only. They aim to be global group. That’s why they sing in English, the most universal language in the world. And they perform not just in Korea, but also in Japan, US and other countries. It’s different thing when certain big company’s CEO (or no longer CEO? I don’t know, but he’s like the face of the company) claimed to expand to global market and plan to eliminate K from K-Pop in the future when his artists and the songs they released are basically still very much in Korean. Unless they wanna start singing full in English too, why the necessity to drop the K?
