Before watching the reaction I do just want to thank you for acknowledging how massive and impactful H.O.T. and Candy were. I was aggravated a bit I will admit by how many reactors either didn’t know or glossed over the sheer significance of this song and group.

H.O.T was the biggest group in K-pop history. no one can stand against At least in Korea, even B.T.S is no match. Of course, B.T.S is great all over the world, but... The country even issued an early leave ban during H.O.T concerts.

H.O.T. were huge at a time where there were a lot of different popular groups. If you are a Running Man fan, you'd know KJK promoted as a member of the duo Turbo at this time. There were a lot of mixed girl/guy groups at the time as well with at least 1 super cute girl and maybe a tough rapper chick. Current fans only usually heard of Seo Taiji, SES, and sometimes HOT. If you go to a Korean amusement park, most of the costumed people will be foreign non-Korean, at least that's how I last remember it. Rather than the old MVs, I'd recommend looking up the live performances. In my opinion the live performing, competitive music show culture shapes how it KPOP has evolved more than the MVs, no matter how they've become so much more high budget/quality.
