Cecilia Bartoli is my biggest inspiration in my singing. Saw her live this winter, and it was everything I wished for, and more. She's so amazing, her presence is so incredible and she's a pure delight to watch. Her joy and love of music is contagious.

Please people, why hate? " Little voice", "sounds like chicken", "looks ridiculous", "DiDonato better"...and more and more comments of that sort. Let me ask you something: how do you feel after she hits the final note? Yes, I know - you feel joyful, exploding with extazy, such that you can hardly bear it. It goes through your body and is emitted through the very end of each of your hair. It is so extremely charging, that at some point your own batteries melt. And you resort to envy. I stick to triumph, because Bartoly is a living magician.

I'm a big DiDonato fan (espcially in this repertoire) but I will say Bartoli does a great job with this, both technically and dramatically.

I have never understood why do people have this urge to compare, measure and reject art that they don't like. There are many top singers that I am not fond of, but I would never diminish their art and life energy that they have invested in their careers. People don't understand that there are thousands of opera singers in the world but only few dozens of them that are top artist and we hear about them. Why don't we respect them? Why don't we try to limit art and put it in the boxes called "this is the way it is done"?

Decidedly in a class all by her unique, marvellous self! I always have loved -- and always will love -- Teresa Berganza and Frederica vn Statde in this role. Both are SUPERB. Cecilia, however, is UNIQUE. It's as though she has a KEYBOARD tucked away in her windpipe. No one else -- that I'VE ever heard in 60 years of listening -- sings with this high a degree of INSTRUMENTAL precision. Cecilia could sit in with the finest Woodwing Quintet and sing the CLARINET part, and no one would believe she didn't properly BELONG there. ;-) Her virtuosity is ASTOUNDING, not only for its distinguished brilliance, but even more for its human warmth, vitality an unaffected projection of LOVE and sheer JOY. in LIVING I feel sorry for anyone who cannot allow himself to love Cecilia if only for her own sake as a UNIQUE PHENOMENON -- bubbling, ieshaustible fount of Joi de Vivre.

Wonderful, no singer that I have heard has brought off Non piu mesta with such precision and delicacy of interpretation and with full vocal reserve. For me only Cecilia Bartoli does it with all the trills and frills and in the key that Rossini wrote the aria, for mezzo soprano. Brava brava!

Sé mucho de canto. En cuanto a sordera parcial, probablemente la tienes tú. Escucha a Valentini-Terrani con Ferro y verás lo que es un salto de octava preciso.

Técnica de canto inexistente, tal es, que tiene que usar micrófono porque sino no se le escucha, en la ópera de la antigua escuela el micrófono se dejaba para los cantantes pop. Cuando desarrollas correctamente la voz no es necesario ningún micrófono para que se te escuche.
