At 3:30-4:10 there is talk about a new trigger spring and ejector springs. The trigger spring can be found on the website but not the ejector springs. M+M needs to make the upgrades available on the website or they are useless.

I got the older M10x with the longer hand guard back in Nov 2020 for $1399. Its so soft shooting compared to my AK47s.. Mine has been 100% reliable for about 1000 rds so far. Using Circle 10 Bulgarian 30rd mags, Gen 3 30rd Pmags, Gen 2 20rd Pmag. All mags fit snug. ZERO failures. I've also tested 30rd Tapco mags and while no feeding issues, they do fit a bit looser than I like.

Did they fix all the reliability and customer service problems related with this rifle? I would love to have a good AK style rifle but why would I spend over $1900 for something that might not work when I could get a type 81 for half the price and almost guarantee that it will work?

I bought this rifle 6 months ago, I can’t believe I am saying this but I will be sending it for warranty repair! Has not shot 5 rounds without a jam! I will update once it comes back

@@EpikArms I am using Barnaul all failure are double feed or a stove pipe, tried both gas settings and even the no gas settings, had rifle cleaned many times, I just reached out to the distributor they are good about it, going to be sending it for warranty to see if they can make it work, the rifle looks really nice but would never trust it and I hardly use it because it’s so unreliable, and also mine is the second generation of this rifle, ( the one that fixed all the problems with gen one) also my barrel is bent to the right compared to the handguard because one of the slide rails is bent and that would of happened during the manufacture heat process. I have been around guns for a long time, the gun has some quality to it, it just doesn’t work, I believe their parts get warped during the healing process and they’re not CNC machined this causes all the parts to be very loose and this is why on their website they have many replacement parts. But like I said I will update after I get it back and see if they can make it work, so far I am at $2400 for the purchase price now will have to find out how much shipping will be to get it to work

Good luck john. North sylva is (or at least was at the time) the warranty center in canada and they cant fix these. Before I sold mine they told someone in the forums they repaired there rifle, sent it back functioning the exact same way, then said they didnt have test firing in there budget so they couldnt even confirm the fix on the rifle LOL. My personal experience with these are they are extremely quality feeling/looking turds. No one cares about a short or long handguard if we cant even mag dump our pinned 5 rounders hahaha. I truly hope they have figured it out on this newest gen... most companies don't get the opportunity to release 4 generations of a non functioning rifles and it would be embarrassing for them if the new ones still don't work.

@@mrguiltyfool At this point the only difference between the gen 2 and Plus is the new style handguard and CHF barrel. The guts are all the same, and if you have an older gun everything is backwards compatible.

M+M can you tell me the weight of the wood version vs the skinny barrel short handguard version In 18.6 version please I’m wondering also about front heaviness, before I settle on what one to buy, which feels less front heavy of those 2? Thanks

Not sure what you mean. All M10Xs have a monolithic (one piece) aluminum upper. There are shorts which leave a few inches of gas tube exposed, and longs, which go all the way to the gas block.

The opinion of the lab rats in the RCMP firearms lab. They’ve been known to change their opinion though depending on what political pressure is being placed on them. There are various boxes that need to be checked in order to meet the requirements for a NR status, but samples still get sent to the lab for various torture sessions to attempt full auto conversion and other secret things that make zero sense.

Some are restricted by name (AR-15 and it’s variants) some are restricted by barrel length ( BRS 99 has a NR long barrel and a restricted short barrel versions) Some were NR originally, but became either restricted or prohibited with a change in opinion. ( some CZ 858 rifles, Swiss Arms rifles, ATRS Modern Varmint and Modern Hunter rifles, Ruger Mini 14 and Mini 30 rifles…) it’s ridiculous.

Every part is backwards compatible. Get one, shoot the poop out of it, and if you have problems get in touch. You can get the latest version of parts and install in any M10X if need be.

Just buy a bolt from M+M and a hammer spring and drop them in. Its made to be forward compatable so old guns can take new parts. Just how the ARs are

Except it's not an AK. The only AK parts are the trigger group and mags. Gas system and BCG inspired by the SIG550 series, hinges open like a FAL, monolithic upper like an AR.

The problem with the short handguard is that you can’t use fixed sights properly. Longuet handguard is the way to go. If only this rifle could be as reliable as a sks… anyways, I wish all the best to M+M.

@@antonyfredette2681 There's still plenty of sight radius to use irons effectively on the short. Standard AK sight radius is 15", short handguard radius is 16", long handguard sight radius is 18.5".

Improvements or not... M+M will never get my money again. I bought an M10X and it was the WORST functioning firearm I have ever fired. Piston rod snapped under 20 rounds in, trigger started doing random double taps at 100 and completely died by 150.

Overpriced. Very unreliable, wouldn't pay half that for it. My SU16, SKS and Type 81 have all operated flawlessly. My friend bought a M+M and we it was unusable at the range, he was embarassed.

@@radmirponomarenko6198 You have to be able to access the end of the gas valve and the detent pin to properly adjust the gas for the ammo you're using. And long is specifically relative to our short upper, which leaves a few inches of gas tube exposed.
