I wish people would open their eyes and stop using Eco Styler all together! It dries hard midway through the day and by the end of the night your hair is flaky. And also, this company chooses to associate themselves with groups who think it's okay to sexually/racially harass women. It's time to be done with Eco and their hateful ways

Ive been saying I was going to try other styling products but always get the eco. I love it. I have found for me the eco black castor oil and flaxseed pairs well with the SM curl enhancing smoothie. But I have to say Eco Olive oil is my favorite.

Cantu flakes like crazy for me when mixing it with almost anything. I envy those who can make it work. Shea Moisture Low Porosity (minus that smell!) or the Extra Moisture Leave-In Detangler works the best for me. Absolutely no flakes at all & I get a week or more of a moisturized, well defined WNG. Jane Carter's curl cream also works for me.

You guys have to remember that Cantu has two lines. The regular one, and the Cantu for Naturals. S if you are having flakes with the original, maybe you should try the Natural line before giving up on using the two products together. It has been my experience too, that the Naturals line never gives me flakes.

My go to is Eco stylers are coconut (paired with eden bodyworks coconut curl defining creme) and the black castor/flaxseed (with Shea moisture raw shea extra moisture transitioning milk). The olive oil is still my faithful go to and pairs well with most of my moisturizers.

Shea moisture curling souflee works great with eco styler as well👍🏾 I use that and grapeseed oil under the gel .

Hey Cousin!! THANK YOU sooo much for sharing this!!!! Based on this review, i just finished doing my hair and paired the SM Curl & Style Milk under my Ecostyler for the first time. OMG!! my hair is EVERYTHING right now. I'm a die hard wash n go girl but over the last few months, my hair was getting drier and drier. Probably because I wasn't putting anything under my Ecostyler for fear it would make my hair mad LOL. Now I have moisturized happy hair thanks to you!!

Hey Amber! Thanks for this video. If you're fussing with leave in for the black castor and the Coconut Oil formulas try using the Trader Joe's nourish spa conditioner for your combo. I discovered this combo by accident and I don't use anything else underneath my Eco styler now!

I've used the Cantu Curling cream with the coconut eco. Those two work well together. That's the only way I can use the coconut eco. But I'm like you I love all the other eco gels too. Great video as always love ❤️

I use the the Eco Styler Argan oil gel personally I feel that the castor oil one is too thin for my type 4 hair. I thought that maybe it was for looser textures. I could wrong but that just my experience but as far as Cantu not only they put isopropyl alcohol in their products, they also put ethanol in their products especially in their natural hair line.

I like the olive oil one. It's the only one that works with my hair. Usually pair it with knot today or shea moisture smoothie. I'm going to try it with the leave ins you mentioned.

I just havent found a gel that works period. I've flaked the most from Kinky Curly Custard but Eco flakes on me too. I havent paired Eco with Cantu though so Ill have give it another shot and and see.

One trick I've learned is that if a product gives you flakes but you REALLY want to use it with your Eco because it makes your hair soft is so let it dry and sit for a little while before you apply your eco. That way the product can dry and absord before the "residue" mixes with Eco.

I just bought the ecostyler olive oil gel and have been trying to find what pairs with it...not sure if it works well enough for my hair yet since I haven't found a good leave-in for it so hopefully I will love this! I like the smell, so that's a good sign! 🤗 And I have heard the GVP version of the PM The Conditioner is good and much cheaper so I may try that! Here's hoping..🤞🏽😊

No I really like the JBCO oil one! I just don't care for the Coconut Oil one. I just know the JBCO, for some reason, doesn't work with as many leave-ins. I'll try a spray, though! Thanks!

I am the exact same, i buy my leave ins based on how well they work with Eco 😂 I love using Soultanicals products with Eco, especially the Knot Sauce and Knot Butta - hands down my best wash and gos. Recently in a pinch ive been using the new Garnier Whole Blends Replenishing Conditioner in Legendary Olive (the Rinse out conditioner) under my Eco and the result is Bomb and cost effective
