Did you ever get around to playing this? It'd be nice to know if your questions were answered and your misunderstandings were clarified. There is a lot of context and important pieces off information that were not included in these cutscenes/cinematics, but in the gameplay instead.

Well, that's not quite something protoss are able to do entirely on their own, the crystals in their armour works as psionic amplifiers that help them direct their powers into useful things such as psionic attacks and warping, and a good bit of energy required for that comes from the khaydarin crystals themselves. That's why High Templar's armour is so fancy and weird - that's what lets them focus their psi potential into psi storms and what not. Additionally, it is most likely that the warp-outs Artanis is doing here are mainly initiated by the Spear of Adun's systems, obviously based on Artanis's commands, but it's still not just Artanis doing this; it's a two-way effort. So, it's not the tech we are used to, but there definitely is tech assistance present in these processes. As for the short-range blinks, yeah, those are obviously only done by Artanis himself, with no help from SoA, but his armour still supports him there

im late as hell but i tell you witch is what the red colored protoss are called tal'darim the outcasts and fanatics that are kinda pirates and are called to be the most hostile protoss faction you can often find the ones with green are called dark templar the people that are also kinda outcasts but are not as hostile as red ones and then we have templars witch are often with color blue there is also an old templars program that witch was shut down called the purifiers an war machines that gone rouge due to old templar council treating them like machines and not people the purifiers were old worrors that fell in battle and got another chance to fight as robots the dark templar and templars hated eachother doe to dark templar not wanting khala the templars called them heretics
