Non stop fishing fun from the kayak with jigs and softbaits - RSK Ep 53

Its another day to remember in New Zealand's Coromandel where the adventure starts on the east coast chasing kingfish. The fishing was so rewarding that another adventure was possible in the afternoon at a new location chasing snapper on the west coast. Both locations had plenty of the marine wild life feeding hard out on the baitfish schools and as a result fishing was non stop at times. There is also tips when looking for yellowtail kingfish plus how to land them successfully.

Yeah Gangigs are awesome, I got a couple after seeing you raving about them. And bingo fish every trip on them. Tried a flea but the paint chips off straight away. Gangig still looks new. Thanx Rob.

Choice. I love using Zest lures. The Green/Yellow 28g Ganjig has been the colour that works for me

For sure Zest is certainly one I've been a fan of since beginning my mechanical jigging addiction. There is some new size 40g Zest Slow Jays just out also and we all know how good the sizes above have been, cheers

Lighter jigs like that and assuming your talking slow pitch and micro jigs I use Jigstar Tai Kabura and Slow Jerk rod. If they are out of your budget then look at the new Abu Garcia Veritas 4 range as some good options for those weight jigs also cheers
