When we look closely at how we are feeling we can recognise that we have Pleasant, Unpleasant and Neutral feelings.
Our practice, our intention, is to recognise when we have a neutral feeling and transform it into a pleasant feeling. We have enough conditions to be happy! When we have a toothache we know without making an effort that this is unpleasant. When the toothache goes away we experience such relief, that we are happy and our feelings are very positive….for a while…… very soon we forget the happiness of non-toothache and go back to “normal” neutral. By monitoring our feelings, we can bring up the memory of non-toothache and transform the neutral feeling to a pleasant one - how wonderful not to have a toothache!
