It is actually anti-scientific. Nothing is chemical free. Water is a chemical, oxygen is a chemical and every living thing on earth is made from and consumes chemicals. "Clean" in health an beauty has no meaning, it is made up. There is toxic and non-toxic. All the ingredients the "clean" beauty movement claims are bad are perfectly safe and research shows they are. Also, something being natural doesn't equal good and synthetic doesn't equal bad. Life saving chemotherapy is synthetic. Naturally derived ricin from castor beans is a chemical weapon.
