Td's, more than any other tank, are about firing lanes. Its about setting up and maintaining firing lanes that trap or cut-off parts of the map or deny access to the enemy. Td's, if played correctly, can be the gate keepers of the map/battle.

Especially those that rely on their rate of fire more than per shot damage like the SU-122-54. Covering lanes while staying hidden is really important in using a DPM based TDs. Big alpha TDs are useful for ambushes to reduce the enemy team's total potential damage because they can blow away tanks no problem

@@agdtkry I like setting up with a death star, I'm in my tier 9 Foch waiting in reserve until the death star fires and then I move forward and the death star reverses and reloads in safety. We basically swap positions and I cover the lane with my higher rate of fire and strong front plate until the death star is ready again. You'd be surprised how many players will rush out of cover when a death star fires only to be caught in the open when I open up with my Foch.

My first line in WoTB was the Jageroo line, I still haven't quite made it past the Jpanther, as I lost interest, but made it to the 183, SU-122-54, and the ISU 152, TDs have always been my favorite

Ive been running non turreted tds for many many years now. Im one of the best in my clan. I asked Bushka to make this video because of the newer players that think all tanks can do the same thing. When indeed they are way different in all aspects.

The backing out maneuver reduces the angle and allows the td to traverse less to cover more area. I do this alot especially when I have two enemy tanks trying to close down on me. Most players don't want to poke out in front of a big gun. So even if you can't get a shot off, you can keep multiple enemies at bay, or freeze them in position long enough for your other team members to help out. Hope that makes sense.

I love my tds started the game with them learned very fast and hard that you can't just sit in the back and expect to have the enemy tanks drive out in front of you (sometimes) and when your team is losing it's time for you to start moving and use that fear factor your gun has if it's a big boi

Good vid (as always). There are more techniques which could be discussed for the faster flat-panzer type TDs like the JgPzIV, SU122-54 etc. such as the 'twitch' (firing then angling when you're duking it out), T-boning oncoming meds who are trying to pass you (which tends to track them leaving them at your mercy), using reverse slopes to peek over the slope in front of you (for TDs with enough gun elevation).

I’m starting to get into playing non turreted tds more and more. My biggest issue with them is deciding when to push and when to be a bit of a camping grub lol.

If you are playing tds that have good frontal armor and that can be used as spearhead of the team push only when the sides are secure and enemies are on your front. In tanks like t95 the last thing you want is someone to be on your sides or back and having someone in front of you.

I wouldn't say to "PUSH" in td's but to know the different spots around the map to get the damage. and push in when the time is right.

If you let your sides get exposed, your TD will be explosed! 💥💨 On a more serious note, I have found that less experienced players will tend to turn their TDs on axis because it's slightly faster-but they will get cod'd and weak spots penned doing that because its predictable. Forwards and backwards movements while turning are a better way to outfox the lights & meds trying to cod you(sometimes using uneven terrain or a ramp/slope, and hard cover to your advantage if possible) and get more bounces and eventually they will get cut off-usually by a nice sturdy wall or a rock like how Bushka explained.

Ive been destroying in the su152 i love it so much. It's definitely my best tank in terms of damage dont compared to hp. Im getting 2.5k to 3k nearly every game

They are pretty much on the same lvl foch can be played more aggressive but has a bad gun handling and longer reload

You should do a video on how to predict where reds will go, how to read tanks and pick a right direction to drive. One of the most key things in the game and people dont seem to understand it. Feels like 80% of games lost is because people drive the wrong way and it's so bloody irritating.

Those are the replays they automatically do it. Its the ribbons that you have to turn on if you want to know your damage if you want to know your damage in the heat of a live match

Nothing wrong with turretless td's... sometimes they can have benefits. The main thing is to not charge into battle like a heavy... even if you have great armor (ex. T95) because, you can be flanked easily. Your goal is to support and cover teammates.

TDs have gotten much stronger in WoT Blitz of late. But finding friendly players who know WTH they are doing to help support? Like finding needles in a stack of needles. Combine the fact that now, because some TDs can one-shot heavies, from great distance and cover? And they are getting singled out purposely for destruction by teams. With players firing into every shrub and bush they can as they move to objectives, in the hopes of revealing a hidden TD before it smokes them. But the whole state of the game in general is now a mess. With turbo games being the norm, and folks running around with autoloader gun equipped vehicles that require very little skill and make the game feel more like Mario Kart, with guns. Than anything that requires strategy or skill.

One major reason for distance is reload time. It pisses me off when moronscexpect their big non tirreyed TDs to advance with them. TD's dont 'camp' they snipe. To do that they need spotters to pull the enemy up and into the open. Moron ayers chase a enemy into a gully or behind a hill and then scream for support! Back out... draw the enemy out... keep protected.. let your team smoke em! Viola!
