The O-Ni was shooting at the KV-1 in direct line (but further downrange) of the teammate E-25 ... using his Howitzer with 900+ HE Damage. His looping HE shot was a smidge LOW (RNG) and smacked his teammate E-25 in the phukkin' NutSac. How you say? He is died? Well, he IS phukkin' died. I'd LOVE to hear the O-Ni 'splain on Claus' Channel.

Eg. Watch the O-Ni blind shot as it just skims the hillside in the hope of damaging the KV-1. A gust o' wind, or a Russian Fart (or RNG) coulda drove that shot into the dirt ... just as it did when the Ruskie KV-1 farted earlier and blew the earlier O-Ni's shot into this teammate's UNPROTECTED Taint. I've noticed that stuper heavies don't really notice what is going on in their immediate area. It feels sometimes as if they are driving around in sniper mode 100% of the time. Pushing you forward into fire is standard behavior for them.

E25 is sort of an exception to the TD rule. It CAN be a scout and do the spotting and get the spotting damage assistance. You don't have to deal your own damage with it if you don't want.

At 14:40 the StuG pushes the dead enemy Type 58 out of the drive way. At 15:04 the StuG blocks the drive way again with the Type 58. At 16:25, (if you watch the StuG on the mini map), you can see him push the dead E25 out of the bush. There was no advantage to putting the E25 back, so he just moved ahead.

Rule of TD: Shoot get killed for stealing kill, Don't shoot get killed for not saving me. Almost as bad as being an ARTY I really think that PK should cost 10x what it currently does (only if they turn blue) because be honest pretty much everyone has shot a friendly in this game it just happens. But if you make a habit of it, it should be expensive and then Go up from there until they are broke, sell their top tier tanks automatically to cover fees, until they have nothing left and automatically close and remove the account. At some point they will get pissed off enough and leave, or run out of tanks and leave thus improving game play.

Most public games I play are like: scouts sits at the back, all heavies wait at some choke point blocking my view, I'm at the back, grow tired seeing our other flank get decimated, try to help out, get killed. In 70-80% of the games this is what happens. I rarely RARELY get a game where the team makes a smart push. The TD relies so heavily on a well perfoming machine that if WoT matchmaking screws you over, so will it screw over your battle statistics. Unlike most other tank types, a TD can only function on its own on certain type of maps - usually those with open views, sweet spots with cover, etc.

👍. TD strategy. Use a light or medium tank, sometimes a heavy tank. Find the redline or the closest bush behind a TD and sit there! And rage why now one is spotting or the team looses.!!!

Keep in mind that a TDs hull is a glorified IKEA box that's made of paper mache. We are not heavies. We are not mediums. We are not brawlers. My strategy is simple. 1. Find a sniping spot where I hopefully can't be seen. 2. Move forward as the team does, and cover teammates who fall back so they can set up a new defensive line. This often gets me killed, but helps get a team win. 3. Either weaken or cripple enemy tanks so teammates can kill them, and make the kill shot when teammates weaken them. I try to anticipate what an enemy will do so I can be ready for them. You must be a patient hunter. What makes it hard to do my job is when a teammate positions themselves between me and my target, or when a teammate goes after an enemy, chasing them out of my shooting angle. So many times the same players who do these things are screaming at me post game because I didn't support them.

The E-25 is overpowered, provided it is in a tier 7-8 battle. Against tier 9s the gun is mediocre at best. Its 1/3rd smaller than it should be, and WG are reluctant to fix it because owners will whine about the 'nerf' even though its literally impossibly small. That decreased model size also effects spotting mechanics for the tank, as if it were its real size, it couldn't hide behind a 5 foot tall bush. On top of that it has absurd view range and mobility despite already having an extremely high dpm for a tier 7.

TDs are totally team dependent; my own win rate fluctuates from 46 to 52 percent depending on the quality of teams I get. (Been rough with the new patch and the filthy casuals passing thru, I predict an upswing soon). Love Claus' take on this stuff. Also does something seem off with the spotting and being detected post patch?

I've never thought their line-of-sight rules were worth a spit. Some light tank gets his radio antennae above the ridge line and suddenly some goof 2 miles away knows your exact location, what kind of a vehicle you're driving, and exactly where you're going to go for the next who-knows-how-many seconds. Don't even get me started on how you can be spotted by an enemy on the other side of a hill when he can't see you, and has his own motor running so he can't hear you either. Pathetic. X-ray vision and super-hearing belong to Superman not the driver of a low vision, clankity tracked tank.

Well after 7.5 years I deleted both of my WOT accounts, all the grinding and raging watching the no talent hillbilly short bussers has finally got to me. 26 battles in a row (tier 9 & 10 mind you) where we were fucked within the fist 2 minutes of the game put me in a mindset of smashing the computer, but deleting seemed the better option. I will miss it down the road I'm sure, but I still can watch Claus' s videos and remember why I left. Hated to give up 12 tier X tanks, but the ineptitude overruled any feeling of sadness. Later eggheads! Keep up the good work Claus.

TD play...notice the OP E25 never missed a shot and could spot everybody from 500 meters away while the SU 100-M1 missed 2 out of 3 and has terrible view range. I have a SU 100-M1 and the gun dispersion is a killer and you have to be almost on top of the enemy before you spot can spot them!! Enjoyed the video Claus even though it was more about bad teammates than TD play,

So when our E25 hero denied him the sweet release of a painful death of course he was angry.

The important thing for all non-TD Drivers. Not surprisingly TD's sit often in the back and watch their line of fire. Good players relocated as soon as needed. Their best friend is the minimap. Mediums and Heavies at the frontline do sometimes not realize that kind of support and overcommit themselve. They peak over a richline or left the supported zone. In result the enemies TD's use their chance and damage the overcommited frontline tanks so hard that their forces see the possibility to overwhelmed the own forces. This is what a TD driver see on tube maps. A TD without armor cannot follow the frontline tanks in every situation. Even with armor most TD's have no turret and this reduce the flexibility in positioning. Kloster is a bad map and a bad sample how to use TD's.

Oh, i can relate to this two players. You have no turret, you will lose your camo, if you move your tank destroyer (only non high tier swedish ones) and sometime heavies or even medium tanks are on the positions, where you are a much better problem solver. Playing the Jagdpanther II at the moment, after some weeks teethgrinding, i could finally install the 12,8 cm gun, now the winrate is slowly climbing back to 50%, was at 38% at the worst times, at the moment its at 44%. Tier 8 isnt fun more for many regular casemate tank destroyers and WG is bringing more and more fast tanks into the game, its not fun with casemate tanks on small or medium sized maps, you cant really get into a good position at time again them.
