Lovely review. The main 2 I will give a go are the 2nd & 3rd you mentioned. 'Oh she glows' + 'Keep It Vegan'.

I have a TON of vegan/plant-based cookbooks. Just yesterday I picked up three - “Isa Does It”, by Isa Chandra Moskowitz; “America’s Test Kitchen - Vegan for Everybody”, and “But I Could Never Go Vegan!” by Kristy Turner. There’s so many choice nowadays.

I am a vegetarian and try to eat vegan for most meals. A vegan cookbook that is one of my go-to's is the Mediterranean Vegan Kitchen. It has a lot of healthy vegan recipes. It is one of my top favorite cookbooks!

Oooh I'll look that up thank you :)

Vegan has nothing to do with eating clean, vegan is about animal rights...But plant-based is supposed to be a way of eating minimally processed food, like the Oh She Glows book you mentioned. It's important when reviewing a cook to understand the premise and goals behind its creating in order to give a relevant review.
@SparklesBooks6 жыл бұрын
I disagree, I think people are vegan sometimes for health reasons too, also, plant based is about eating more food derived from plants and isn’t just about trying to cut out minimally processed food but also means that you don’t incorporate the full vegan lifestyle such as still partaking in activities like horse riding for example.

I'm not much into vegan type meals but I might give these a try thanks to your video.

You definitely should, like I say, you could always add to them and use them as side dishes :)

I have seen the ratings for the thug kitchen cookbook, and a part of me wonder if the ratings are good simply because the language. it is literally the only thing keeping me from trying that cookbook. however I don't think I am missing out on anything, since there are plenty of other vegan cookbook that are good. I am anxiously awaiting my copy of the minimalist Baker cookbook.

The swearing definitely isn't a pull for me, I feel like the book could do without it, but I do really love the recipes :)

I really like the fact that you were not put off by the colourful phraseology of the Thug Kitchen cookbook. I am going to purchase it and have fun with it. I am a vegan and my wife is always trying to come up with vegan dishes for me. She will get a kick out of this book. Thank you for your openness. Harold B.

OUR FAMILY LOVES "CHLOE'S KITCHEN" AND "OH SHE GLOWES" ! I do not understand what are you talking about Chloe's additives ! Her meals are simple and delish! the only thing with her deserts is that she is using too much sugar ! BUT HER BOOK IS AMAZING !Her soups, burgers, salads, pestos, artichoke-walnut pesto crostini, avocado-shiitake sushi, warm spinach-artichoke dip, mango masala panini, minted couscous with arugla, butternut squash and currants !!!! AND MANY MANY MORE ! DELISH

I've been pescatarian for 7 years and finally vegetarian for past 2.5. I used to love fish and I still do (smell of it) but managed to find my way without it, for fishes sake :-) I like your book reviews and your taste in books so I'm going to give it a go and buy Thug Kitchen. I'm not a great cook, I cook mostly for myself only therefore usually I can not be asked to cook a meal for one even if cooking few portions for the next 2-3 days. I usually have smoothies for lunch and oven meals for dinner 😳 Great video as always. Thanks Rosy X

I'm aiming for vegetarian in the future :) don't think I can ever go fully vegan though, I have free range hens and they make lovely eggs

I have two of the chloe costerelli cook books( the Italian cooking one and the one all about deserts).. I also have the book called ( the good earth) by jon gregerson . and (the sweet vegan) by Emily mainquist. and (sinfull vegan) by lois dieterly. and (everyday happy herbivore) by lindsays.nixon. I found her recipes made the food t\state bland and dry and a lot of them didn't turn out the way she said they would and the recipes were not as big as she said the amounts of the sizing were wrong. also (150 best vegan muffin recipes) by Camilla v saulsbury.so I have been making my own recipes. lately.
@SparklesBooks7 жыл бұрын
I've not tried any of the others but I really wasn't impressed by Chloe Costerelli at all, I made several dishes from the book and not one of them turned out well.
