Furthermore is underwhelming to say the least. Would have been happier to get instrumental version of the album instead for the bonus disc. Anyways to see the band have their highest UK opening week chart position (no. 2) since Very is quite wonderful. Amazing for a career that spans four decades.

Love the new version of Being boring with those extra lyrics, wich are actually taken from the intro of the origional music video for the song. Don't remember them being sung live, though. The version of Heart is great too, heard it in 2021 actually, when a ("accidental"?) two minute snippet of it was dropped on KZbin.

Love the PSBs - they’re a perfect combination of melody and messages. I’d be curious to know your opinion of AI in music? I’m not sure if it’s good or bad but I think we’re on the cusp of AI flawlessly and convincingly reproducing our favourite musical artists. I heard the AI Depeche Mode tracks and I nearly believed they were new tracks! There were some flaws to the well trained ear though. But give it 5years and we’ll be getting perfectly sounding regular new music from our favourite musicians - both long dead and the still living. Great news if you’re a Boards of Canada fan I suppose - and you don’t want to wait 20yrs between albums!

I don't like the bonus . They should have recorded the new remixes in the style of Nonetheless, with live instruments, the strings. This would be much much better! Or it would have been a good idea to release these rimexes as a a new Disco album with more versions that could also be taken from their latest tour. Sometimes I don't understand Boys and the decisions they make..

From these new versions I like Heart the most, it's perhaps slightly better than the original. It's a sin is great, but I miss the dramatic NASA countdown from the beginning. Always on my mind I think is weaker than the original. And this new Being boring is an enormous WHY for me. Its mood differs so much - the original is touching, epic, painful, dramatic, theatrical and very, very moving, it is my all-time favourite PSB song. This version is somehow.... neutral, I cannot find a better word for it. The same lyrics just don't work for me in this.

It's a good job you don't follow Taylor Swift! Think how many versions of everything she puts out! But she has a completely diffrent audience not my thing! But the success wow! Anyway the Pet Shop boys have history dropping variants usually interesting stuff! I am not the expert on pet shop boys stuff but quality!
