I made nonna Pia's baked ziti without meat and it was so good. Thank you for the recipe. I am going to try roasting chestnut on an open fire next Christmas. Hi! Roasted chestnut are Northern Italy Street food. Old folks in my hometown ( Nort of Milan, Swiss border)used to call them 'poor people' bread. Boiiii they are expensive now. Also, try to boil them (raw) then open then with a knife and eat them with a spoon. Tip: don't eat whole lot of chestnut bc they notoriously give constipation ( ask my dad ...😅)

I made this with a couple of differences. I used 1/2 cup Ragu roasted garlic Parm pasta sauce and added to the roasted garlic pasta sauce. I also mixed the ground sirloin with medium Italian sausage. It was amazing! Thank you Nonna Pia 🥰
