Rode an F800GS on a tour in Slovenia and Croatia last summer. Same color, too. 😊 Very capable bike. 👍🏍 although a lot to be said about the simplicity of the Funduro. Even the chickens aren’t startled by the exhaust. That’s some epic traveling you’ve done on it. 🏁

Nice pics at the end. You'll have awesome memories of that bike. I always forget to take a pic of my bike when I go somewhere interesting.

The funduro can take a beating and keep on going plus if drop it won't hurt that much I have its Italian cousin. This rotax motors have history in reliability. I must also say the 800 is a nice looking motorcycle,

Ah the Funduro... have to say I took a little offence at your trashed its looks. I find it a unique and pretty bike in its own way. My first real motorcycle was the Funduro. Had a 3 year and 30,000km love affair. Lol. Too bad that station wagon took it out. Anyways; thought I would try faster and sportier with a Triumph Sprint ST tourer heavy on the sport. Nope. Even with Helibars, I couldn’t live with it. Legs way too cramped. That Funduro would go bombing down ATV trails or carve Vancouver Island’s sweet roads during torrential rain while scraping the pegs. That is why now I am restoring an identical one. The red Funduro affair will continue soon. ;) The bike is a durable and fun tool that can really do it all as much an a bike can. A race tech front fork setup and an aftermarket overly expensive shock; and it’s a sportier and classier KLR.

I was never a big fan of his looks. Mainly the headlight. A phenomenal motorcycle though all around!

I rode a 120 000km on mine so far. Still going strong. Mostly for commuting every day. On average one long off-road trip a year.

Just got a F650, cleaned carbs and new spark plugs. Got it to fire up then it died and never wanted to start.. cleaned carbs again.. got it to fire up and idle with the choke on.. no choke it dies... Now it won't start at all... I think it needs a new starter pr starter solenoid...

I had the same problem... Switch the metal sparkplug caps out for NGK plastic ones and replace the ignition cables from the coil to the caps. Fixed everything for me.

I didn't know selling bikes was a thing. If it is please don't tell my wife.

If I had more storage space I wouldn't have sold it. Can't let her rot away outside though

I thing f800gs is the best BMW bike!

I love the way they look, but ultimately I was disappointed with the low-end power of the engine. It lacked torque. Ended up getting an Africa twin and I love it so much more than the BMW

I bought one a couple months ago and had a lot of issues with it. I knew that and it was cheap. Fixed her up and now runs great. It’s super easy to work on and loads of fun. I don’t regret it at all. Se precisar de ajuda técnica tem um site chamado f650.com

I know this is off subject but I’ve been looking at a funduro. Not that familiar. Reliability?

I wouldn't really call that off subject. I highly suggest the Funduro. Super reliable solid bike!
