I'm interested in what you found worth taking home from this land clearing, and what you almost found worth taking home. I kind of figure those truck brakes might be worth more than scrap value on the used parts market, and maybe the larger, flat pieces of aluminum semi trailer siding. But I never saw you take anything home.

Chris, you made a lot of money on all of that scrap. Great that you made some new friends. You are a extremely hard worker and very good at negotiating with people. You sure had people loading the dumpsters for the items they wanted. Reducing your work and still getting everything done. Your final shot of the property looked like the place was pretty clean. Thanks for the video it was great.

I wish more people worked this hard to clean up unused property. You are one hard-working guy. I love how you are getting others to work with you.
@joshjablonicky1712 жыл бұрын
It would be nice but the problem is a lot of unused property that has a bunch of junk on it people don't want to work to do it cuz feasibly is not worth it I seen a lot of places full of junk and I promise a lot of it's garbage and you have to pay to have that hold away and depending on what kind of scrap is there it might barely cover the cost of just renting equipment and having dumpsters there that's why it doesn't happen more often
@dalefoot82322 жыл бұрын
@@joshjablonicky171 I understand and agree. It would be nice for the city or county to kick in enough money and resources to incentify people to clean up similar properties.
@joshjablonicky1712 жыл бұрын
@@dalefoot8232 it would be nice but you know how that works no no City or village or township wants to pitch in with that no problem bend you over and raping you on taxes and everything else it makes no sense they have ways of putting money aside for all kinds of projects that they deem to be something done but it's ridiculous. In my town there's about four empty lots for houses used to be within an eighth of a mile in my house and every one of them is a garden now like community garden there's a couple that anybody who lives in this township could garden in it and they have a couple other ones where you can garden in it you just have to help pitch in with cleaning and stuff like that but the watch we're kind of just taking over by the people who live here they were trashy looking bunch of garbage in them not to the extent where you needed multiple dumpsters and stuff like that but people got the stuff out of there and now I'm staring at one right now and it's mostly a flower garden but it's a lot better than what used to be there

Fun video! I like how you see value in all that stuff, either for reuse or as scrap. It's actually very eco friendly to recycle. Take that aluminium for instance, it takes a LOT of energy to produce aluminium from bauxite. So it is a great thing to reuse existing aluminium. Same for iron/steel. Even more so for copper because copper is getting increasingly rare while demand for it is going up. (Think about electric motors for BEV's)
