Chris, watching your videos is like reliving my younger days. Tearing down garages, busting up concrete, building a new garage, fix anything, save everything, repurpose, reuse, learn something new with no fear and see it through no matter what. We’re a rare breed! All these years later I’m a C-suite guy who doesn’t get dirty at work any more but watching you has motivated me, so this weekend I changed out my struts, wheel bearings, ball joints, control arms, tie rod ends and stabilizer links on my old Ford…I had a ball…no problem.. I still got it! Thanks for the inspiration and great entertainment.

Congratulations on the new place I can't wait to see what you make of it.

One beautiful purr baby! Watching this video brought back some painful memories of tearing down an old 10x20 barn that was on the property when my late wife and I bought the land. It was getting so bad that the only thing keeping it from collapsing was the termites holding hands! Out of thirteen posts only ONE was actually in the ground. All the rest had rotted off even with the dirt. My neighbor at the time wanted the old galvanized tin siding and volunteered to help if I'd give it to him. He got the tin and the salvageable boards (I didn't have any use for them). The tin on the roof was so rusted that we were actually able to fold it all up like tissue paper and haul it to the disposal yard on a 4x8 utility trailer in one load! Somehow during the demolition I brilliantly managed to rip out the rotater cuff on my right shoulder along with three ligaments! Doctor told me there was no way to repair the shoulder due to how it was damaged so I underwent six weeks of intense physical therapy to teach me how to use the remaining muscles and ligaments in that arm. I paid dearly for getting rid of that old barn but in looking at the place where it once stood, I'm glad it's gone.

I’ve been looking forward to this video as i am going to replace my garage too. My wife used to call me a hoarder but after helping me sort through a lot of my gear she says I’m a clutterer. Apparently there’s a difference, a hoarded won’t throw anything away and sees value in complete garbage whereas you and I just have to much stuff with nowhere to put it so it becomes clutter. Welcome to the club pal.😂😂😂 Cheers mate, Stuart 🇦🇺

I've installed about half a dozen of them, the early ones all had problems wit the regulators not being able to keep up (too much fuel pressure), and one had bad injectors that were just stuck wide open. They seem to have fixed the poor regulators, although I still prefer an external regulator where possible. Its a very good system when it works, and honestly I haven't seen anything better, I have played with most of the other brands and I still prefer the Holley.

I have a similar garage in size and construction. No foundation, just on a slab. I just replaced the aluminum siding with steel I got from an Amish place that takes raw steel sheets and forms them. I also re-roofed it when I did my house. I’m not replacing my garage, I’m not a mechanic so I just use it for over flow freezers and refrigeration. Also lawn equipment. Lucky you’re not here (in Michigan) because we’ve had such a drought, there’s no burning allowed right now. In fact, I’m trying to get a lawn started , but it’s so dry I have to water it every couple days, and that’s in May!

Great content!!!...you are not a hoarder...you're smart and I feel very organized with the amount of space you have. Keep doing what you are doing and please don't change. You've hit on a great formula...keep it going!!! I start watching KZbin videos because I cut the cable. I started watching someone else (vgg). Trying to get cars running and then trying to drive them home with all the adventures that brings😱...was great viewing!!!! He's kind of gotten away from that sadly. I realize those take a lot of time and he does have kids and he really seems like a great father👏👏👏. But in my humble opinion that's his bread and butter and why he became sooooo big. I've actually heard him say that he has heard this from his viewers and the next vid was a rescue drive home video...go figure🤔😉. Gus and Jen are also great features in your videos!!! Thanks again for the great content and looking forward to the next video👍👍

Okay I'm going to go where so far no one else seems to have gone. What is it like living next door to an active You Tuber that is wrenching and sawing and running motors the diesel in particular, how tough is it to get a nap if you're retired living next door. Are ther codes in the neighborhood that restrict running a business out of your residence such as this has become? I say live and let live but there's a limit as to how much one should believe is appropriate in such tight confines as it appears the homes are situated on small narrow lots with your neighbor pretty much in your business even if they are not trying to so be as such, what choice do they have in this case?

Watching you break up that pad brought back memories of me when I bought my house. I had a stretch of concrete that was around 12 feet wide by about 100 or so feet long that was supposed to be an RV pad. There was no way to access it as an RV pad so I busted it all up and prepped it for fruit trees. I don't know who put the thing in but instead of leveling the ground and pouring concrete, they just leveled with the concrete. There were areas that were 6 inches thick and other areas that were 14 inches thick. I tried renting the biggest jackhammer from the orange store but that got real expensive. I ended up buying the mid level jackhammer from Harbor Freight for $100 or so on sale and it worked better than the big rental one. I hope everything goes well for your new garage.

I did a demo of a cabin that had newspapers from 1941 and had mention of Pearl Harbor under the flooring. I made specific cuts in the roof and walls and pulled the structure down with my 1980 Mustang. Then built a new cabin 24' wide & 32' deep, 4 bedroom cathedral ceiling with loft, by myself in 4 1/2 months. The newspapers were placed during a remodel of the cabin originally built in late 1800's. Old framing was mostly 3' on center and clad with 1"x12" pine inside & out which I salvaged. This was protected lake front property so depth of new footers was only 8" in hard pan sand. Higgins Lake, MI 1990.

Oh man with the way some of those studs look I'm surprised this building didn't look more Dr. Seuss than it did. This reminds me of in '16 when I helped a buddy of mine clear the detached garage on his property when he was moving out of state. We made 2 piles in two sections, Keep, and Sell, one Keep pile was outside the garage, stuff that wouldn't be hurt outside under a tarp, another inside, same with the sell pile. The way we told them apart was the keep stuff was under nice heavy white tarps and the sell stuff was under thin cheap blue tarps that were already flaking after a month haha. Hard work doing this man, would've cost a FORTUNE to have that asbestos removed if you hadn't done it yourself.

I don't care what anybody says. All those books and tools are very helpful for the backyard mechanic. I'm sure you will find a home for them in the new shop. If not have one heck of a yard sale

When I was just a boy my dad demolished an old house. He burned the asbestos siding lol. We loved it when the stuff exploded like a firecracker. Now I know it's bad sh@#$t
