Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Vin. Most interested in the Aberfeldy myself, but it simply is over my budget. Happy to leave the Bruichladdich for others to enjoy: no grapes in my whisky, please. Slàinte mhath

Way over my budget too, so I'm very lucky to be able to try these. My local whisky club will benefit too haha

Based on the dates 2007 to 2024, isn't the Bruichladdich 16 years old rather than 14?

If the distilled and bottled dates are correct, that would certainly seem to be the case... and the Aberfeldy would only be 32 years old, as it is 42 days short for 33.

Spoken to the brand on Bruichladdich. Essentially, at 14yrs the cask was found to be leaking, so to save the liquid it was placed in an IBC while waiting for bottling, which took 2 years. so essentially its a 14yr that took 16yrs to bottle, if that makes sense

Never having had a whisky over 25yo myself, I'd probably have to perform degrading and disgusting favours to obtain even a sample of 33yo anything ...

😂😂 or you could start a KZbin channel, slave away on it for 8 years, and then someone will send it you 😂
