In 1984 I was in the Met Police.A call came over the radio of an area car in Fulham chasing three Black suspects in a car who had just held up a jewellery shop in Fulham. Myself and two other police cars joined the chase. During the chase we were told ( From Scotland yard) to standby for senior officer instructions. The car came to a stop outside a well known pub in Notting Hill and the three suspects decamped and Ran into the pub. All this was on the commentary from us over the radio to the main incident room in Scotland Yard. We see BLM riots, nasty sectarian marches every Saturday spouting threats to the Jewish community and years of disruption from ER and JSO befire there is any serious response. Police running away from certain groups of rioters and now all counter demonstrators labelled far right thugs and I prison within days. Some are so called far right but most of them are just stupid. The elderly lady who went out with ice lollies handcuffed for being "far right" and a journalist handcuffed for just being there. This is not policing without fear or favour.

This country is changing for the worst. I do wonder whether the Policiticans and the Police really know what good or bad means anymore in our society where their is criminality on our streets. I can see why people believe there is two-tier policiticans and policing in the UK.

Were the 19th century chimney sweeps colonisers? And for that matter how are children born today colonisers too? You have an Old Testament attitude that insists children should be thrown from the walls in penance for their great great great grandfathers who in most cases were probably impoverished miners. And also where is the nuance. If you wish to punish everyone of a nation for the past, do we also get reward for fighting slavery and ending it in most of the world? Reward for the medicines we have produced that have saved 10s of millions or for defeating the Nazi threat on the world?

I cannot beleive every police officer up and down the country agree with what is happening but the ones that dont agree have got to stay quite if they want their jobs and i suppose some have families to feed. Its a terrible situation for us all. It must be extremely hard going along with something you fundamentally dont agree with.
