8:40 The one aircraft that seems to have a universal and eternal love, the one you all have been waiting for. This whole video really is amazing though. We love this. The variety of aircraft, scenery, and thank God no music. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. Happy Thanksgiving.

Incredible footage! I really enjoy your stuff, especially since I enjoy DCS World fighters in VR. Always wanted to be a fighter pilot but it wasn't to be. Thankfully, I became a real world private pilot. So at least I'm living part of my childhood dreams 😊

YF-17 lost to Falcon for USAF, Navy develops Cobra to Hornet, F-16 and Hornet together as agressors, my two favorite mock bandits.

NAWDC was not formally known as TOPGUN. TOPGUN became a part of NSAWC (now NAWDC) when it moved from Miramar to Fallon. TOPGUN (like HAVOC and SEAWOLF) is just one weapons school under the NAWDC umbrella.

Surprised to see the F-5. There was a USAF Squadron of these at RAF Alconbury, England when I lived there in the early 80s. Could this possibly be a former Alconbury jet?

Can someone please tell me why the f18s rudders are turned in on takeoff? It seems like this would create drag?..just curious
@AirshowStuffVideos3 жыл бұрын
An aerospace engineer's guess - they do create some drag but importantly it is above the center of gravity of the aircraft, which creates a 'pitch up' force, helping the nose lift off of the ground. Modern aircraft use their control surfaces in all sorts of interesting ways :)
@brett3273 жыл бұрын
