if that entire game was a “moment” you won’t forget, then don’t just remember the parts you want to recall. Don’t forget the flagrant foul that took out Robinson, or the 19/21 free throws he shot, which was MORE THAN THE ENTIRE KNICKS TEAM COMBINED! Don’t forget his post game bitching about PEOPLE LIKE YOURSELF not being present enough at home games. And fyi, yes, this conversation did happen, and it’s 1000% the first thing that came to mind. And it still does, cuz what highlight did he have during that 50 piece? Name ONE highlight play he made in that game. You can’t. It’s maybe the least respectable/ least respected 50 point playoff game of all time

@Omegascithe6 ай бұрын
@@bregozy3330 Lmao no. If you ever want to figure out why it always looks like refs are against Embiid during playoffs, it's because the man fishes for fouls. You don't get nearly as many foul calls in playoffs vs regular season. The guy's easiest way to get points is gone, and he doesn't know how to adjust, so he throws temper tantrums and makes poor decisions when he thinks* it's clear (that Anunoby shoulder shove was fair contact). That missed layup over shooting the free mid-range was textbook Embiid being a jackass trying to fish. This vid straight broke it down exactly how it is. I hate both teams but still watched the games regardless because I love basketball, been watching almost every series this playoffs since round 1. imma be honest with you im a booker hater, nothing to do with his game tho its more to do with the way he carries himself, idk it makes me feel like he's the literal definition of "everyone talks shit when they're up" idk if that luka quote was against you guys or not but i just can't describe how he makes me feel in any other way. An example of this was this years playoffs, he lost in 4 to the wolves and i didnt hear anything from him, there was no shit talking, no leadership taken, no nothing but when he's winning its like he's the complete opposite. i honestly kinda feel bad for suns fans because i think he was a big reason why ayton left and he woulda been a great addition to the current roster you guys have. tbh tho his game is great and if he manages to win a chip he'll gain my respect.

Embiid is an incredible player, and the flopping and clever cheaty fouls are annoying, just like a lot of other stars past and present. But his actions in that last series were a new low for him. I don't remember him doing this before.
@ogforthreee93486 ай бұрын
idk i mean i think the first players players i remember not liking because of foul baiting were kd with his rip through, harden and trae young with his stopping and jumping into defenders. However embiid is different from them, all 3 of those players hunted for those fouls, they played smartly to abuse the nba rules (kd,trae ), or they utlized their position on the court and defensive stances to get theirs (harden with holding defenders arms when they reached, trae by blowing by and stopping) embiid just runs and flops hoping he gets a call that is not hunting for fouls like the others he just foul baits dropping to the floor almost every possesion just to try and sell a contact that was never there.

Right. Embiid isn't allowed to complain about missed calls that the league they admitted that they missed but he's supposed to say that his own teammate traveled on a pivotal play? Does ANYONE do that? "Yea, we should've lost today. My guy walked before the tying shot." No one would say that. Also the whining about free throws as if that's not part of the game. Take away Embiid's free throws and he still scored more than Brunson did in game 7 against the Pacers period.

Worst part is, half of it is bs. He was on one leg, one half of his face, a migraine, the Knicks got BS calls in game 2 and game 4. And on top of that he was booed at home. He accidentally stepped on Hart's foot. The Mitchell Robinson thing was inexcusable, but that didn't injure him. He played for the next 6 minutes and then hurt himself on a defensive play. On the free throws, he got hit hard by this Knicks team. Some of it, sure, was foul baiting. But all of your favorite players do it. SGA, Luka, Giannis. Even Jokic has done it on occasions. Don't blame this series on Embiid.

Finally, as a French, I'm glad he choose not to play with us. Even if you don't reject a NBA MVP who wants to play with you, the fact he had no real ties with France, the way he lied and his behavior on the court, would have made me more uncomfortable than excited to see the unique front line he could have formed with Rudy and Victor. I prefer an honorable silver or bronze medal than a cheatish potential gold one, with a little bit of shame to have him on the roaster. I hope FIBA rules and straight referees who would make the right calls on his dirty plays and foul baiting, will give him a little reality check on his not-as-exceptional-as-he-think value on the international scene.

I could honestly care less for the flopping. Manu Ginobili & Vlade Divac were infamous for introducing it to the league, yet are still very respected players within the basketball circle. It's the Prima Donna attitude for me that alot of these players have without having really actually done anything for their organization. Sure, you had your Shaq's & even LeBron, but they actually provided results & even championships, so they earned the right to command such respect & treatment from whatever organization they play/ed for. These guys however like Embiid & all these other guys putting up large numbers & crazy statlines but haven't really done anything outside of that & think they deserve the whole world to be given to them is what kills me & is one of the major reasons why superteams almost never work. But I think for that exact reason Joel Embiid is hated. Jokic was able to win in Denver despite having zero superstars, yet Embiid who is arguably more talented can't do the same & it's their mentality that separates the two. Embiid is mentally weak.

The difference between Embiid and Draymond is that what Embiid does is far more dangerous. Draymond just does little crap like sucker punch or nut punch, so it’s like, “Ight, you a bitch for that.” But not any long term damage done. This dude Embiid is straight up taking out guys for the rest of the post season. Mitchell Robinson is now a victim of that, too. And let’s not forget how he was 2 shoe sizes away from curb stomping Grant Williams last post season. Plus, Draymond isn’t 7’1”, 310 lbs. So even if we wanna say Draymond and him are on the same level, or that Draymond is worse (he’s not, but he is was more annoying and persistent with it lmao.) Embiid is just straight up way too big to be doing it Edit: Also, in 478 fewer career games played than Draymond (just 18 more games than half of what Draymond has played), Joel Embiid has accrued 3 more career flagrant fouls than Draymond. So he’s got more flagrant fouls in half as many games. Yeah, he’s worse than Draymond
@Br0seid0n6 ай бұрын
You sound like a biased clown trying to defend Draymond. He choked a dude out which can cause just as much long-term damage (if not more) than anything Embiid has done. Both are dirty players and deserve a bad rep.
