Because of what Joel did to Mitchell Robinson in the playoffs this year, I now dislike him greatly. He is a dirty player and his play style is not what his body can manage. Also his play-style just doesn’t work in the playoffs. If a team built around him can’t get in the conference finals even once, that’s a sign the star players style just can’t work. Last year it was him and harden, when both underperformed, people started to blame Harris. Like we don’t already know he is well overpaid for his production. Also, Ben Simmons covered a lot of their issues as a defender and ball handler and as crazy as it may seem, the sixers are not even better off without him

Embiid literally begged for one by asking "I don't know what else I need to do [to win an MVP]", he got it by pure racial sympathy and clever media-manipulation by the NBA talking heads (looking at you specifically Kendrick Perkins, the known biased towards his race/color voter). That was the same year when Jokic should've had MV3 but oh well, he just went on to f*cking win the FINALS as a consolation prize, not that it mattered to the racist voters.

@@Belive7heHype ask Kendrick Perkins, he's the one who always brings it there. He's done it to Curry (who is half-black, calling him that "light skinned dude"), he's done it to disparage white European players (Jokic, Luka, etc) and he's also done it to Giannis, who was black, but apparently not black enough for him. Embiid gets a pass for Perkins since he has dual citizenship (another race related thing, this time as "American"). Just check Kendrick Perkins history of colorism and racial bias, I'm not making sh*t up, those are all recorded and yet he still has a vote in these things despite the historical biases he's displayed.

I think what’s remarkable about 4th quarter play off choking isn’t so much the offensive player choking. It’s that the offensive player might be playing at his normal offensive level but the difference is 4th quarter playoff defense is turned up a notch and it exposes them not being able to overcome that kind of defense when they play their normal offense.

As a Sixer's fan, I'm ready to move on from Embiid, and have a few shitty rebuild years. At this point, I don't think he has the mindset to win. To be applauded like this and not make a conference finals is crazy. Also, as you said, he's never around in the fourth quarter, and if everyone else is getting injured, why are we give him passes? To me, Embiid is the African version of Lebron: great stats and little-to-no winning to back it up. One thing I can applaud Embiid on is that he didn't team hop.

Embiid is a Porzingis-like guy. Not saying in terms of skill, but in terms of durability. Neither player can stay healthy reliably enough to build a team around. His best chance of making it is to do what KP did and sign as the #2 or #3 guy on a really good team. The Celtics are much better when KP plays, but they have the star power and depth to win when he injured. Therefore, Porzingis is like great icing on a cake...he makes the whole thing look and feel much better, but he isn't required for success. Embiid needs a similar situation, a place where he's a star and makes the team much better, but where the team isn't built around him and therefore can win when he is hurt.

I've been saying for years how awful a playoff player Embiid is. It's not just the injuries. The conditioning is a huge part of it too. There's a reason he always starts games well and is terrible in the 4th quarter. He's simply not in good enough shape to play a full playoff basketball game.
@maniravsadhur8409
@maniravsadhur8409 7 ай бұрын
His foul-baiting is relevant because while it works fine during the regular season, it stops working entirely in the playoffs, which partly explains why he's so underwhelming in the postseason. When referees don't help him, it suddenly becomes more difficult in the fourth quarters of hard-fought games, and he disappears.
@maxwellrauchut7926
@maxwellrauchut7926 7 ай бұрын
To be fair, he also has to play a lot more in the 4th quarters and is gassed/injured. Compare that to the regular season when he was healthy and blowing out teams allowing him to sit the 4th out a lot of nights.

Joel Embiid isn't an MVP to people who know basketball. The man had the gall to say "James and I can't go 2 against 5" after dropping 15 in an elimination game. Steve Nash's career was straight up cursed. He got traded away from the Mavericks just as he was breaking out. His nose got smashed one year, Amar'e got suspended for David Stern reasons another year, and they lost Joe Johnson as he broke out. Then, his move to the Lakers saw Kobe go down, and Dwight played with a very injured back before leaving. Then he had to coach the three ladies, whom I'll not name, who truly belong in the WNBA more than the NBA. I hope he wins as a coach soon. Derrick Rose was even more cursed. One injury took almost everything he had away. Then he had LeBron's big 3 in his way after returning. But he truly wasn't himself anymore. Now he's just a really good role player. I hope he wins one before retiring.

I consider him as a bully but also a crybaby. He can manhandle opponents with his size but then falls from the smallest to sometimes, non-existent contact. His playoff failures(including injuries) are probably karma, and I'm here for it.

Him having 33ppg for 6 games isnt a lot, considering everyone was talking about him gettinf very very bad calls, which is what he depends on the most in regular season, and this year he shot more shots than ever. He is a solid player, but he needs to tone it down to win, save himself for playoff, if he goes down with minutes, ppg, flopping which he doenst need just hurts him, he would be ready for playoff and not banged up. And ofc not playing trash mintues in blowouts or vs trash teams to get his ppg up

Talented on both offense and defense. Played through pain in the playoff multiple games. Passionate but perceived as crybaby. Hated because he doesn’t win, but the Sixer won’t build a winning team around him.

I rooted for Joel when he started and even found him funny trolling. But as his career progressed, we see him foul bait, play dirty, and be a cry baby.

Can't give him the injury excuse. He list to a Knicks team that was without Randle, Mitch (thanks the Embiid), so thats minus a staring PF and starting C. Please!

If oddsjam worked like it claims, the creator would make crazy money keeping it secret while using it themselves. Be careful putting the money you have into jeopardy for a chance at easy money.

I don't know why people can't see it. When he Embiid falls he knows exactly where he is and what he is hitting. I've seen him injuring several players. And the he cries. Oh how he cries. Biggest PSSY big man.

An MVP needs to prove from every metric and regular season , if they even are the worth to be voted. Unlike Joel , I feel like he wasn't a healthy center who casually baits fouls and becomes healthy in the regular season , until playoffs he isn't.

76ers have not win since 1983 that is what now 41 years now they have not won a title and never will-only NYK and Boston and Dallas will be the top of the elite. No wonder Markelle FULTZ never played in PHILLY cause he was a no show and they use to have a player name OKAFOR. What a bad pick back in 2015-17 something like that.
