It's not very often we compliment moves from losing players but red's move to take iberia after you broke him was super smart. He got broken by two players on the right so he took a bonus on the left that is guarded by his cap. It didn't end up working but if he had kept his capital that turn he would most likely hold at least spain and then have a safe position to expand while letting the other players class to his right

Question. Has anyone faced this cheat before? Playing Europe advanced fixed caps. Get a nice open cap and 4 bonus. Next turn I get russia. On turn 4 kill another opponent plus secure Italy bonus plus eastern Europe. Red player (supposed grandmaster) has this locked cap in scandi with another opponents cap. On turn 4 he has 17 on cap (all troops) , opponent has 19. Trades cards (fixed) suddenly has enough to kill all of opponent and get noob corner from another player in 1 go. I get my huge bonus and stack my cap. Next turn red with an 80!!! Yes an 80!!!! Stack screams through all my bonuses. I get 5 troops. He then gets a troops bonus of 29. Yet I see two territories go from 1 to 29 so red doubled their troops in one turn. Has that happened to anyone else?

Spawn lucky map because there are so few "easy" bonuses (yukon and newfoundland) and they are on opposite sides of the map so whoever gets those usually bully the other players. There is an opportunity to play in the center of the map if people good neighbor but it usually doesn't last very long in my experience.

Fun challenge (the new meta Strat): Normal caps meta, but you can stack, at most, 6 troops on your capital. If you have multiple capitals, you split the 6 between them, meaning by the end of the game, you have 1 troop on all 6 caps.

I am disappointed to hear you say at 17.50 that you are encouraging your viewers who wish to quit to suicide into overly aggressive players who have caused them to lose to teach them a lesson. Please think about this for a while Pete and realise that you should not promote anyone who quits like a loser to then suicide inro aggressive players who are trying to progress the game. Have you never forced other players to lose by being aggressive? Maybe you are a defensive, passive player who hates aggressive players, I don't know but I find your advice quite bitter and lacking in wisdom.

I'm not advocating that players suicide into agressive players so this is a misunderstanding. If a player gets broken and quits without retaliation that teaches the player who breaks that they may not face rightful retaliation. This is bad on the individual and systems level. I do not advocate players quit, nor do I advocate they suicide. I advocate players play to win. But, if they must quit (like a baby) which they should not do, then the better choice is to retaliate. This also progresses the game as the player quitting puts troops into the player that made them quit reducing the overall number of troops on the board and making kills easier, rather than what often happens when the quitting player bots out and causes havoc on innocent bystanders and can have an even more positive effect benefitting the original offender. So this is the game theoretical level that we're operating on. If you would like to get into the minutiae of when it is correct or incorrect to retaliate I'm happy to because I assure you I've thought about that at a similar level of depth as well. Do not quit your games, play to win always. But if you must quit, or if you're going to quit like a bitch, punish the person in the game you like the least. It's better for the overall game which is why I advocate for it. Overly aggressive play is childish and should be punished.
