Schumacher holds the record of most won world driver championships.... This sport is way more layered than you think at first glance. Flat tires with no profile have way more grip than regular tires. Simple physics. More contact with the road = more grip. No it wasn't revenge. Sorry but how short sighted are you. These cars can not take a lot of damage. His suspension got damaged by the first impact. He was going off track already. He was totally out of control. Intentional big hits are something very rare in F1. Do not think stuff like that just happens. They all are human beings knowing fully how dangerous motorsport is. Behaviour like that would see an extit out of the sport immediately. Yes there are vids explaining the sport. Just search. Not that hard to find
