One of the things leutin forgets to mention is that the emperor didn't actually order the space wolves to execute magnus and the thousand sons, he wanted them subdued and magnus brought to Terra. Horus intercepted these orders and changed them so that the result would drive the thousand sons into rebellion against the imperium.

Actually sending the Space Wolves was the Emperor’s worst mistake since both legions hated each other, which would inevitably lead to the Thousand Sons falling to Chaos.

He sent his custodians too, to ensure that his orders are followed correctly, but the wolf king didn't acknowledge their authority and fully committed his forces, which forced the custodians to join the ensuing conflict to ensure that Leman wouldn't die, as no matter how good he was as a swordsman, he couldn't fight Magnus the Red, due to his immense psychic powers.

The purging of the Wordbearer worlds is not something that is completely explained. One city (Monarcia) was completely destroyed but the people we evacuated from it first, this is the only example of what was done explained in the lore. It's kind of a fan idea (but not explained in the lore) that the cathedrals/temples they had built on planets were destroyed along with execution of any priesthoods that had been set up and then iterators were sent in to bring the civilians to the imperial truth. Also on the idea that the emperor went to far. In the "First Heretic" (mostly told from the perspective of Argul Tal a word bearer) the wordbearers and Lorgar seem to think that the emperors reaction comes from nowhere and is a complete shock. However in other books when non-wordbearer's talk about what the emperor did they seem to have the opinion that Logar drove the emperor to react as he did after the emperor tried repeatedly to get Lorgar to stop with the religion stuff and this was the last attempt before the emperor would order the wordbearers as a legion purged (like the thunderwarriors and the 2nd and 11th legions).

42:00 the empreror did NOT send the Space wolfs to kill Magnus, he did send them to bring them to terra, actually planning Magnus to help him fix the damage he caused, but a lot was going on and things did not go as planned

1:45:02 Rogal Dorn is more like missing in action, because the only thing they found was his severed hand and nothing more so dorn being dorn there is quite good chance he is still alive and trying to get his resolve back (after he get it shattered because he got late to the emperor vs horus fight...) so he can be what empire needs him to be.

One thing to note about the Primarch of the salamanders. He is actually inmortal, i dont remember why, but he just is. Thats why he said he is gonna return some day, and he died many times.

50:29 the drop site massacre was absolutely brutal towards the 3 loyal legions, they lost so many of their men, 90%+ of their men, they started between 80,000 to 100,000 before the slaughter and left with 15,000 at most to 5k most since not the full force was there, when it came to the primachs ferrus manus of the iron hands was killed by his brother and once best friend Fulgrim (not by choice, the demon blade took control of his arm and decapitated ferrus to break Fulgrim will and possess him) Corvus Corax of the ravenguard, i think he got wounded by his brother konrad curze, vulken the poor guy after losing so many of his beloved sons and nephews, got nuked a few times so the traitors can capture him, konrad curze was the one who captured him where he spent some time torturing him, i dont want to go into detail as its konrad curze, the twisted mother fucker

It may seem that Emperor treated Magnus unfairly. However, these have a backstory, events called the Council of Nicaea. In short, the Emperor foresaw the danger coming from Magnus power, and strictly forbade him to "teleport to the Рalace" and "destroy the protective barriers from the forces of Chaos", "even if Magnus wanted to report the betrayal of one of primarchs". And... Magnus did it...

What is not elaborated on in the video is how brilliant was the Chaos Gods deception of Horus. They have shown him a vision of the future: an imperium full of oppressed people. An imperium with statues of only half of the Primarchs, and no statues of Horus. An imperium where zealous religious worship is a norm, and the Emperor is considered a God. And that was enough to make Horus turn on the Emperor. After all, this wasn't the bright future the Emperor has promised them. How dare the Emperor discard half of his sons, let alone Horus himself! How could Emperor stray so much from his own patch so that he made himself GOD? It was clear to Horus that if this is the future the Emperor promises them, this is not a future he wants to be a part of. Emperor is not worthy of being the ruler of mankind, he has strayed from his own mission and it is up to Horus to save both his felow primarchs and mankind from him. And that's why this is so brilliant. The Chaos Gods did not lie to Horus, there was no deception. They showed him the truth, they have shown him the actual future and what will happen. It was his future, the one he himself will create by betraying the Emperor and dooming the mankind. And because Horus at the time was already conflicted at the Emperor's actions in regards to leaving them behind, he simply misinterpreted what he was shown.

(I wouldn't like to guess) but if humanity had managed to murder all other races, didn't believe in any god/relion and the emperor had finished his work on the Web way, allowing travel without entering the warp... the emperor would have seriously diminished there power and ability to interact!

Sadly Luten09 skips over a certain part of the fight between Horus and The Emperor. There was another person involved in the end of the fight and it was this person's death that caused the Emperor to finally kill Horus. Also if you watch Oldmans mistakes of the emperor series he and Baldermort have a theory that explains why the Emperor never told anyone about the webway or chaos and it's so mundane to be plausible.

There's a lot of unanswered questions around the emperor especially his choices leading up to and during the heresy the more you learn about the heresy the more you ask how did the emperor this mega powerful psychic being that could see the future not see the heresy coming and then you learn that no one actually knows what exactly the golden throne does, then you learn how the warp works and how the chaos gods were created then you learn about all the miracles that happen to the faithful and then this leads to a lot of looking at the emperor's choices very differently so much so the popular theory at the moment is that everything is going exactly as the emperor planed and everything he has done has not really been for the benefit of humanity but to create the conditions that would see the worship of himself as a god become so wide spread and so fanatical that it would fuel his rebirth as a God, that maybe the chaos god weren't lying to horus that maybe horus wasn't the bad guy and now you're a filthy heretic burn scum. But seriously that's just a theory at the moment and for it to work you need to believe the emperor is capable of out playing the 4 actual real gods of the warp the chaos gods one of which is know for being a god of manipulation trickery and deceit and knowing every possible future. Luten09 has recently done a video on it worth a watch

The imperial palace is a hive city, perhapse THE hive city. Its spires raise up to the karmen line and covers much if not all of the himalayan mountains. Over 10 BILLION people live there. It is the strongest fortification in the imperium; may be the strongest mankind has ever built. You arent drop poding in.

My theory / headcanon is that the Emperor foresaw that he will be worshipped as a god, and all the horrible realities of 40k, and tried everything in His power to stop it. But mistakes, and the nature of human spirit led to this fate anyway. When he stood in front of Horus, looked in his eyes, and saw what chaos does to humans he realized, that this fate is unavoidable. Better that humans become religious crazy fanatics, than slaves to the dark gods. In the end, it does not matter. The only truth is : The Emperor protects.
