While watching this live I thought to myself how the rig itself would be 10's of thousands but after checking the website.. it's expensive but not *that* expensive, especially considering the quality and modularity of the rig. All of the engineering and design that must've gone in to the development of the product, it seems like a fair price for what you're investing in. Major kudos to Noob and Monstertech for giving us an inside look at how well these products can be brought together!

@@justicebrown1077 Yep, if you're buying this though you probably already have a 1-2k pc, at least 1k spent on pedals/throttle/joystick and another couple hundred on a screen for this thing plus head tracking or maybe vr instead.
@thomgizziz Жыл бұрын
@@cavannanicolas That is for a desk... none of the actual pieces you need to run or play any of the games. I have a 3 degree motion setup and if I were to mount all my hardware on this system i'd have to pay 4600 USD and that is without shipping and import charges... for a desk and chair. Tax, shipping and import costs is going to bump that about a grand. So 5500. My current full setup with DD wheel, computer with a 3070ti 64gb ram and a 12700k, hp g2 VR headset, pedals, 2 joysticks for space sims and a throttle for flight sims, touch screen with knob for flight sims, a 55" oled (just use one because I use vr most of the time, surround speakers wired into the setup and a buttkicker cost me 7k with tax and a bunch of import costs. I paid 1500 more than a desk and a chair that doesn't move for a full single monitor setup that is ready to play just about everything and it moves. This is ridiculous. The other ridiculous thing is that this guy makes money doing selling the products he advertises and yet never really tells anybody that everything he is doing is an advertisement, which is a really scumbag thing to do.

The whole reason this interests me, is that the time it takes to set up my wheel, shifter, pedals, sticks, etc, on my desk, often makes me end up changing plans, or not bothering to use them. This system competes with, and in some way surpasses, actual industry hardware that we order for real fight training devices and simulators. Plus, it is so modular it could be turned into any type of workstation with enough creativity. I also am curious about turning it into a lightweight UAS operator station that can be wheeled around or easily placed in a modular shelter.

Very nice design and seriosus props to Monster Tech! It's about time someone looked at an all in one rig that's sturdy & has all the support you'd need. I had to fabricate my own from scratch for my simpit and my goal was FPS, Flight, Racing without stuffing around changing out brackets or controllers. (still a WIP with upgrades & improvements) My Left Alpha, Fanatec Shifter & E-Brake are on a locking turntable. My centre mounted Alpha is on a quick disconnect plate that puts the base over and on top of the seat so i didn't need a cutout seat. My keyboard tray is on locking slides with cutouts that clear my sticks for when i FPS out of my ship in SC. Fanatec wheel is mounted and just use the QDC of the wheel. Driving pedals are mounted where they need to be and i can even fit flight pedals in as well but i removed them as i didn't end up using them for SC. TLDR; I can change between FPS, Flight & Driving without even leaving the chair.

I'm back! Haha. I've now watched this particular video several dozen times in making my recent purchases. I've ordered the MTS Base Frame, MTS Base Plate, MTS Floor Mat, MTS Yoke, Pedal Quick-Change set, Velcro Ties (3 sets, though I only want the mount pieces, won't be using the velcro), 2x clips and one Headset holder. Much more to go, mainly still hope to add the MTS TV/Monitor Internal before my order ships. I intend to use it's arms in mounting my C182 panel that's still in progress to try and also make it an easy swap from general aviation to fighter config. I had a couple of questions for you if you don't mind. 1) The "Desk" set looks identical to the Yoke. Meaning the rails and other attachments, minus the one short profile and keyboard tray. I've dug quite thoroughly through their site, but before I ask Alex to just buy the keyboard tray (I did find individual profiles for sale on their site), can you confirm what I see in the pictures on it being the same? 2) I intend to buy their Blackbird seat, but once I order it they have that it can be over a 5 month wait. Any suggestion on a temp seat for now that should mount to the MTS base? I don't mind having to make extras, or machine things if needed. 3) What keyboard do you have there at 11:45 ? I have read through your google doc but didn't see it. Thanks, and thanks again for your videos. They've helped a lot!

This is an insanely awesome looking piece of kit, and I don't begrudge Monstertech their profit, but when a rig starts adding up to $2k for the basics (Base, TV mount, hotas left and right, stick center, and chair), I just can't bring myself to spend more on the rig than I did on my PC. Adding in the desk attachment is almost 500, for like...4 foot of profile, a couple of metal plates, and a piece of wood... To put it perspective, the constellation alpha amd a CM2 gimble are roughly that same price. I feel like this pit falls into the space of "I could do a lot of that myself", while the joystick...yeah, I'm never going to able to get equivalent performance. Anyways, I need to go and figure out how I'm going to attach a VKB Gladiator Evo to a Virpil mount with a TM Warthog throttle.

Regarding your flight sim unit, I have found that running three large high quality monitors in portrait mode is better then a single large panel covering the same distance. At first blush the idea of bezels trisecting the view seems a non-starter but the increase in visual quality makes of for it and when it comes to lining up a guns shot you are only using the center panel anyway. Your mileage may vary but as you are one of the few in the percentile that can afford to check it out, I think you owe it to yourself. If only for channel content for others who can't.

I use 2 15$ Anker dumb usb hubs on extensions to the PC. Everything is plugged in, pedals are direct. No issues

Its a cool setup, the problem with it is the price. Of course aluminium profiles aint that cheap, but if someone know how they want their setup, puts down 4 hours for measuring and planing and some cutting. Depending on the setup they can cut off the price a lot by getting it from where you buy aluminium profiles. Its really nice setups though, and good video.

Thanks for a great video. You did a good job showing off the MTS. Now I want one if it's ok. A quick question if I wanted to switch between driving and flying sims would you recommend the MTS desk module or the wheel module?
@NOOBIFIER13372 жыл бұрын
You could get both and switch those as well. Wheel slides out and can be replaced by desk. Contact them directly and they will adjust your order. Hope that helped

Beautiful set up, I noticed that you have the Virpil base with the VPC WarBRD words facing away from you, does it make a difference? I have seen both ways.

Not at all, it’s just to optimize where the wires are

im really interested for going with a middle joystick, left throttle, racing wheel and racing pedals but just dont know what parts i would need to get that.

This is an awesome setup, but the pieces are quite expensive for a casual sim player. If you need the modularity that this provides, it might be worth it, but if you're just going for a driving sim, "Openwheeler" may be better. It is something like a quarter of the price, and will do VERY well if you do not need to constantly change out pieces.

You can get decent setups for under a grand. My motion rig was less than half the price of this nonsense.

I realize this is long after you did this review, but how did you build the mount to position the monitor closer to the chair? It looks like monstertech never did develop one of their own.

Just when I convinced myself converting my attic to an office/hobby space wouldn't be worth the cost you show us this!

Thank you for the detailed and professional video. I’m planning something similar and I’m happy to have come across this video. Question. Is one pc for gaming and the other for streaming? If not why did you go for two pcs for two setups?
@NOOBIFIER13372 жыл бұрын
Hello, thanks for your questions. One week after this video, 100% of it has changed. There are some updated videos about triple screen and there is a series of videos speaking about motion simulation systems. Hope that answered the question. There are actually 5 PCs now.
