Good to see you make a Ark video, I practically learned how to play this game because of your tutorials. I still remember the first one I saw I think it was how to tame a dino, you were taming a parasaur in that vid. Anyway, I hope the game keeps the right course and survives. I need to tame one of these next time I'm on. Gotta work 4 night shifts 1st. And yes vids like this helps. But I learned the hard way lol when I played Ark se I never watched you tube vids and like to usually figure thing's out for myself of course alot of being killed the only thing's that's frustrating is players building huge bases and laying pillars all over. I couldn't even put a bed down on the island maps I tried a few because of this and same I got killed all the time because I couldn't build a base. In the end I've had to resort going to The Centre and starting there on official but I'm playin single player as well.

Hey, @nooblets first let me say great video. Second, I've been taming them by louring it into a 4x6 trap with 2 high walls. Once it calms down in the trap, its face will stick through the wall, and you can just walk up and feed it wearing any armor you like. Keep ip the great work.

First off it does apply a DPS bleed attack with the gigga bite, and I maybe wrong about this because I’m basing this off of the ASE mod but Wyverns can pick the crocs. If you don’t want to risk a wyvern I’m sure a Rhynio would also be a good option.

The bleed effect is buggy/broken right now. (Official PvE) Hit with a full giga bite, move away from the enemy Dino, while it's moving it's supposed to bleed, but it does nothing. Each croc I have has inflicted one bleed in its life and then never re applies to any other Dino's. Am I missing a trick here? They feel nothing like the modded ones I had on Svartalfheim and this update has even affected those too.

Ive found the bleed effect doesn't want to trigger (official PvE server) and the hit box for its bites have changed too. Hopefully its going to get fixed with the next patch. Otherwise they have effectively ruined my favourite tame to date.

Not sure if the centre is bugged, but these spawn in groups of 5+ snd seperating out the one you want is really hard.

I get the bugs and glitches don't seem to ever change but I've watched you from the beginning days of ark as well. Hope you can find more enjoyment in the game we've dedicated years to. Sent you an email btw, may have found something a little easier for taming these.

Most of the time I just go out in full ghille and tame it the natural way literally nothing in the swamp dares to fight it so there’s no risk in losing the effectiveness

You can hear them chomping as you fly over the swamp locations. Top tip #1 solo playing dino wipe. Top tip #2.

I liked the mod way of having to tame them...walk up to the front, look down at it's tongue and hit e. Being able to do it from the side makes it "Less Fun".

It’s the same logic as there’s no need to tame a saber tooth when thylas exist. The thyla is better in every way, but so many people still tame sabers, because they are useful early game. It’s the same logic here. What’s happens when you want to ride croc but you’re not yet level 74. You take a sarco that you can make the saddle for at just level 35

I wish official pve servers woukd lower the time to tame because trying to tame this thing takes so long! And the shasta is by far the worse for time its crazy how they want people to sit and do the same shit over and over for half a day for one dino u can loose in a couple seconds if you arent safe

They are eliminating traps and its ruining the game, 4-5 ive found wont tame unless you remove the trap.
