Wampa & Savage Opress: Who Do They Counter in SWGOH Grand Arena?

Surprises me that Geos are listed as Wampa food (though the win % is very low!) as they have tenacity down on one of their basics and that's pretty much the golden rule with Wampa, don't use against anything with Tenacity Down. If the opponents start landing debuffs, particularly Stun or Daze, it's over.

Their only win con is spy aligning himself perfectly, a very weak Wampa, or Poggle getting a turn 1 ability block

Bossk BH's contract is going to be damaging the weakest enemy. which is always going to be Wampa if you're using Wampa solo, again it's one I never risk unless Mando is missing, and even then you have to watch out for Dengar as his multi mines inflict tenacity down, and then the debuffs start landing.

The weakest enemy contract is brutal, they get 2 swarm attacks back to back from bossk and greef and then wampa goes bye bye

I haven't seen this talked about much, but in 3v3, Wampa can take out an EP/SK/MJ lineup- I have a 6/7 track record so far. Trick is after the opening AOE to just roar, counters and dots will kill them off. AOE when it cools down, only ever attack SK if it's a for sure kill. Mod advice in video is solid- just make sure you have a tenacity set and cross before attempting. My Wampa is an R8 with 100k health and 120% tenacity Super fun counter, just never attempt it on 5v5 or without tenacity.

sine i'm not seeing anyone explain the multishot leads. that is the list of all of the players attempts to beat the team. so the example that you were looking at when you asked that question, is that the player went up against those nightsisters 11 times. for whatever reason they left them preloaded with all that turn meter and just couldn't find a team that could beat them (given the y had a 2 omnis and a lvl 9 datacron i can understand it.) So they started with quigon lost then went with revan, veers, malgus, grevious, pheonix, palp lead, ewoks, dash, wampa and finally carth. presumably at this point they ran out of teams to throw at the nighsisters and gave up.

I even use Malak solo still!! In Arodium 1/Kyber 5 he works great to counter Padme/Iden.

3:46 "multi-shot leads" means those are teams they threw and lost with. So he lost his battle against nightsisters using all those teams, including a loss with wampa. Usually I'll show something like SK beating a rey and cleaning up JTR with something after as a multi-shot.

For savage counter vs CLS, you want to leave Han up for last. He generates your turn meter so you can take down CLS himself

Came here to say this, you get chewy first to drop the guard and then CLS second so his allowed can feed savage tm. After CLS is down the rest is easy.

Zombie applies tenacity down on basic which will then make wampa susceptible to stuns and plague

I think multi-shot leads (L) is when Wampa lost the battle, but did enough for a 2-shot with one of your other offensive squads (or maybe vice versa)

Few things I'd add. First I wish wampa would be allowed on a LV team to make him useful outside of just solo since higher kyber you get stuck facing GL walls and other teams wampa can't solo any more. Aside from that 3v3 if you have atleast 125% tenacity and atleast 275 speed you can beat palp mara starkiller teams(read datacrons though). I also have baited wampas on defense a good number of times with a high potency Iden. Since most people mod their wampas poorly. I'm on the side of pure tenacity set with health primaries. Mine is 162% tenacity r8 with almost 100k health and 294 speed. And gets a ton of those counters done. Plus side note a high tenacity wampa will help your wookies beat omi phasma in TW.

FYI - Wampa vs ideal Ewok squad only ha 81% win vs Chirpa, Kneesaa (was not in your list), Logray, Elder, Wicket. Then... if Logray has 150%+ Potency, there is a good chance Wampa will lose or time out.

A nice Savage trick is to pair him with Traya lead early game to beat Geos. Traya just needs to exist so level, gear, mods don't matter beyond getting to that Max Leader ability. Then low relic Savage can beat any GA Geo's at all. Everyone puts geos on defense and this is the most reliable counter I've seen.

I use traya lead with the omicron, darth talon, nihilus, sion and savage with omicron. Takes out geos with next to no problems ( rng)

Thats great, but its also MASSIVE overkill. Traya works vs geos without an omicron and without savage. With the omicron, she can beat GLs in the right situation.

5:30 I must be bringing up the curve cause I don’t recall ever losing to a GAS with Wampa; and my mods aren’t anything special.. I even took out a r8 GAS with like r6 ish 501st with my r5 granted I have the cron with like 100% defence.. but still.

Even without the datacron my wampa does very well against gas. Granted I have a very fast wampa at just under 270 speed, I run through full r7-8 gas teams pre datacron.

Wampa versus SEE you need good modding and r5. Datacron will help. I've never tried it without one.

I have never had success against geos with wampa. I stopped trying the Ewoks though I have won almost 100% of the time
