🌺I love how you get right into the recipe. My great, great, great grandmother was Hungarian but she settled in France and then later migrated to the US. I love learning of my heritage. Thank you for sharing your recipes!🌺

My mum used to make it I loved it with sugar sprinkle of the end and she used to do it with lard. Nowadays oil is preferred looks delicious it's just the way my mother used to make it. You can even do it with potatoes which I love and relish of cucumber she's to make herself yummy

I never knew about this recipe, but I've been combining noodles and cabbage for years! (Must be my Ukranian and Polish genetics coming through...!) I slice the cabbage to look like noodles, so I'm never certain which one I'm getting in my mouth. I also like to add parmesan cheese. This adds sugar and the slice of the cabbage is different. I love your work-saving pre-cooking and freezing of the cabbage. Something to try once the temperatures cool down in the fall. Thank you!

Excellent video Magdi! :) Salting, squeezing out the juices, and caramelizing the cabbage is the key process to his staple yummy dish. All the work is worth it and freezing is a great future time saver idea! :) People who have not tried this do not know what they are missing! Extremely delicious and very nutritious ~Gyuri

I do not I have no problem with criticism when it’s about cooking! But when I get this kind off notes really hurts! I am happy if someone helps if I left out something from the recipe. I try make everything easy to inspire you to cook and bake! Thanks for liking my site and for the subscribe! I will come up with new dish soon! Keep on cooking and baking with me. Thanks Magdi

Just a thought, I don’t know if one would be better off to evaporate the juice in the pan as you cook? Reasons being that you’d be concentrating flavor from it and the loss of vitamins from it when you discard it. Thank you for showing how to make Hungarian food! My dads parents were from Hungary and some of us didn’t learn how to make family favorites!

Don't know why people in America call this dish Halusky. They cook Kaposzta teszta and they call it Halusky but this is not the same. Halusky with cabbage are sztrapacska. I love the Kaposzta teszta with polish sausage - it's delicious.
