For noodys audience: This was my first game on thief, I copied a build and was trying it out. Unfortunately due to my druids MMR it was like a bronze thief fighting high gold/low plat opponents and I was still having to read my tooltips 😆

Oh 100%, and its great content too. There isn't an overabundance of detailed thief pvp commentary so this was probably a great opportunity that couldn't be passed up.

Sindrener is back and suddenly uploads *a lot* but he only plays (Power) Specter and there isn't any commentary on it. But that's about it afaik. I still watch all of his stuff at the moment because it feels like I get at least some sort of semblance for the game, however I would absolutely LOVE some up to date educational sPvP Thief content, ideally not just for Specter as well.

The 2v2 and 3v3 seasons come back after the main 5v5 conquest seasons end for about 2weeks

@@Noody awesome, thank you man ! remember you from back in the days on 1v1 PVP servers, when being a thief was really tough :D Do you think they will ever make 2v2 or 3v3 battles as a real pvp season, those are my favorite formats, not really a fan of conquest

​@@LegionMTGNo. They decided to end all support for PvP as a game mode. Just look at all the bots, wintrading, gizmo selling, etc. that ArenaNet knows of and decides to do nothing about. I mean, they reverted punishments they put out for people. The devs refuse to work on the game mode and everyone just accepts how every single new player who's interested is driven away by all this stuff because you know no matter what you do, the top rankings have already been set. Just now, Drazen lost his Rank 1 seasonal placement to a wintrader who even was caught in flagranti. The only way I can imagine they do what you said instead of leaving PvP on autorun is once the player pool can't even support one normal 5v5 queue anymore. People are already queueing into Platinum players even though they're Gold themselves. I recently played Unranked with some people who haven't played any PvP before and got a match against people who said they were training for the monthly tournament and we're actually kind of sorry for the 500-17 score afterwards. So if the game doesn't support any 5v5 gameplay anymore, they might change it to 2v2 or 3v3. But especially if the duo queue isn't abolished at that point, it'll be hell for casual players so they probably REALLY don't want to do that. I've gotten to know like a dozen people over the last weeks alone who played some PvP, loved it and wanted to continue but while googling they immediately saw all the bulls|hit going on and ArenaNet just wholeheartedly give zero fuc|ks so except two of them, they all said it's simply not worth their time for a gamemode that's almost completely destroyed by as|sholes and the developer not even trying. It's so sad.

that double black powder and heart seeker is something I do alot as well, not because I want to but from habit of pressing skill spamming since in some mmo, that will que your ability on gcd. However since thief has no weapon skill gcd, it become spamming skill instead. I hope there a way to get behind this though.

@@shaunanigans3364 I wish I can say it improve cuz I just quit the game because of connection problem. I can't play this game anymore with constant dc, crashing and stuck in loading screen. Both Anet and my provider can't help, vpn can't help. reinstall can't help so I just quit yesterday after waiting to get this fix for 2 week :(

I always go home on start. Sadly in gold games people never wait for stealth even when u tell them, id say like 40% of the time gold players get mad if u stealth before mid in start cuz u "cant cap while stealthed" lmao Spvp is total worthles garbage until u hit plat, and as soon as you drop you have to hyper focus and hyper carry cuz u have 9 people playing against you xD

Nice tutorial... though I've played for 10 years and have at least 1 of every char. I've NEVER played my thief in WvW... I just started a few weeks ago... and yep I've been doing the same thing, not using my skills 7-0 enough... thank you!

i wonder. i play Main thife in pve. but i stay off it in pvp couse all of the comunity hate. Like "Thife go de cap far noob". The best games i played as thife i played it like i would play tracer in Over Watch. flanking and spike dmg from behind then teleport out again. helping my teammates. its a ton of fun. but if you do. man tats alot of hate. it killed the class in pvp for me.

1 really simple tip mostly for Daredevils and Spellbrakers, stop spamming just skills. Dagger autoattacks are strong and fast and are a good way to bait out stun breaks and evades. People often forget to autoattack.
