This game looks cool and I like the fighting aspect of it but I'd like a step before soldiers and put town guards in there. I think it would be fun also if we could set areas for them to patrol so they would stand guard and attack anything within the circle they're set in and could be set to stand guard around gates and stuff. I think that would be fun to try to position them to thwart raids and predators.

Well done Nook! Better (tho still not perfect ofc) strategy this time - you could've built the pub just before levelling up for the housing boost, knowing you'd be able to build a brewery v shortly.. & incidentally raising a bit more cash from house upgrades. You also bought the parts, but never built the windmill or bakery, which would've helped a lot with food If you decide to continue with this save rather than restarting on plains (which does look like the easiest map, at least for resource variety), priority after the pub & brewery should be the foundry & smith; leave the theatre 'till later!

Seems like they have done a good job on normalizing the maps! In that yeah, the alpine had a little of everything, but you are gonna be waiting forever to flatten a place to build most anything. So they all end up making you trade. Again, no one actually died from starvation though you flirted with it once--so if the devs get a chance I hope they make that more possible.

They did make a game like that and it is indeed called Stronghold... they really do need to make an updated version of the game (came out early 90's)

Wouldn't it be smart just to place walls everywhere? There was a part of the town that was entirely open for bears to attack, but if there are walls then they couldn't get in anymore, which means no more attacks right? Raiders are obviously different but I expect for everything to be closed down that nature can't creep in anymore

Yet its not as hot as its been in the recent past. There are a lot of localized record high temps but the majority of areas are not setting records. The reason we have so many new high temps are the massive expansion of temp sensors since the start of organized recording in the 1940's. Before then temps were only taken at a single place in any given area like a city or town.

They did that because the calendar of the game is completely out of whack, the seasons are too fast. So they made everyone run to try and improve the time aspect because walking that fast would look silly. They need to slow the seasons down big time because at the moment, it can take a day to walk across a full built town, which is obviously unrealistic entirely.
