I think the problem is that you;'re essentially paying $160 for 3 legendary quality skins and a finisher. I wish that they would make it cheaper, because it is a cool skin, but legit any other legendary skin I can get for bloodhound seems way better than what we got. It'd be different if we got a new loading screen animation or it evolved in game, but it's in game progression with out of game equips, thus making the skin feel way overpriced. It also doesn't help that we are getting a legendary bloodhound skin with Twitch Prime, meaning there is no way in hell I am going to be picking up the prestige skin

Part of what made heirlooms so great is that they could be used with any of the other cosmetics. This new heirloom skin has to compete with all the past and present bloodhound skins. Not to mention that for an heirloom it doesn't seem that special. They might as well just have been 3 separate skins that you can buy/unlock given how it works, with the final one having a unique finisher.

I’m not quite sure what you’re saying here though? Regardless of if it was a heirloom or not, it wouldn’t be free, this isn’t the actual event for season 12, this is a BONUS event for apex’s anniversary, the apex shards, and a NEW HEIRLOOM (well I guess mythic) comes out later in the season, as did every heirloom that came out after wraiths.

I feel like with the bloodhound skin they should add three matching trackers to go along with the third tier and a banner frame to go with the heirloom and the skin so then if you get both you can have like a fully kitted profile with it and an intro animation when you select him in the legend select screen

I feel that legendary skins should come with like a dynamic UI change, as epics they move on your body while you move and like pulse. With legendaries they can have like a “hype beast” UI look with the crypto skins giving the UI like a yellow hype look with like a the ultimate being connected to wires and when it’s used it like pulses like a beatbox. Gives legendary skins something special that epics don’t have because 1sy person a lot of epics look better. But with the UI change having UI changes for legendaries fitting for that legendary it would be a better payoff and if they are worried about money they could get way more. Also for the love of god why isn’t the bloodhound skin game interactive, it should level as you go through the game or get damage upgrading like an evo and having like a quip each time and let’s you look at your skin. Should be luke an arm meter you can look at that shows you how far away you are from the next tier

I usually love holo sprays, like when I check the battle pass checking the holo spray art is one of my highlights. But yeah, it does suck knowing you have a limited chance to get a good skin or something in an Apex pack, and it reveals a holo spray. That's why it's such anxiety opening these free event packs. I wouldn't mind having the Get Hyped one tho, that shits dope.

I think one bad thing about the prestige skin is how it progresses, I would say they're the same flavor, but more intense. Like instead of having ice cream with vanilla, strawberry and chocolate flavor, you get a chocolate, double chocolate and triple chocolate. I doubt there are many people who will want to wear 1st and 2nd tier instead of 3rd tier.

To be unbiased, I think they thought: we charge 1800 coins a legendary skin, + a legendary finisher would cost 1800, So that’s 7200 coins. Had they charged for each item separately. They definitely should’ve added a intro animation on character select, and maybe even a banner pose, However, most importantly they could’ve made the skin react with the bloodhound heirloom, e.g created a red pulsing in the hands when it holds the heirloom, and a special animation that only comes with the skin equipped.

I absolutely agree with everything said about the skin. But the thing that bothers me the most about it is the look of the skin itself. If it's going an "heirloom skin", it should look the part, meaning designed with his lore and character in mind. I mean the skin does look good, but they definitely needed to keep the hunter/tribal theme in there somehow.
