fun fact about ash’s heirloom the nunchucks were actually a gift from newton to ashleigh reid which is why they gave her these. it still doesn’t make much sense but apparently ashleigh was really into martial arts and even taught newton some when she took care of him after horizon dipped so, it’s not too out there. also it’s VERY satisfying when she runs and whips em out i love it so much man

I'd have bumped Mirage's up for a few reasons. Pork Chop Smack is one, but the other is thematic; his heirloom is the only one that's absolutely replaceable. He drops it regularly and pulls out more. I just imagine he has a bag full of the things on his shoulder, taking out a new one every few minutes. Also, it's the only heirloom that alters the character model, lowering his goggles and having him point when he slides with it out.

To be fair, if you don't spend much money on Apex, and you get heirloom shards and then buy tha Katar. Then you have a customizable heirloom that can be used on every legend. For sure not the best overall, not even close. But for the f2p or low spender playerbase, the Katar is S tier.
