Thought I’d do another POV drive of my hour commute. Here we encounter some annoying drivers here and there but overall a nice and peaceful drive :) a couple pulls and such too!!
Enjoy these tunes as we head to work :)

Tysons looked immediately familiar as soon as you turned left towards the mall. There's no way I would drive there from La Plata every day.

@@benchan4901 ETS Intake, AWE Track Catback exhaust, Cobb AP, Dmann tuned on 93! I am making around 330 whp with just the intake and tune! I just got the IAG AOS, 2022-2024 JDM OEM wing, and the Perrin turbo inlet! Haven’t slapped them on yet, probably gonna take the wing to a body shop though because idk how I feel about drilling holes in my trunk… plus I can’t find the template for the wing

Does the car seem reliable? I've heard the car runs a boxer engine (?) (not really sure about that) and that subarus sport car engines are not on the reliable end.

How comfortable are the seats in the limited? Does your back get sweaty?

Everyone sweats differently or don't sweat as much as some people you'll have to experience it yourself in one.

@@diallo1347 I’m usually a pretty heavy sweater but while I sit in here I’m pretty dry and comfy! Even in this blistering heat. No back pain especially thanks to the adjustable lumbar support. I love how well the seat hugs you, really lets you stay gripped but comfy! The butt cushion is also firm but not too hard, very comfortable

Is it worth buying this or sti
@noondu
@noondu Ай бұрын
@@Ed_370z I can’t really speak for the STI because I’ve never really driven one. (I drove my friend’s 2021 STI for a very brief moment so I can’t provide a good comparison). What I can say though is that my WRX has been a very fun and reliable daily driver so far! From what I’ve heard, FA24 platform has been improved with stronger internals(?) so the engine is allegedly more reliable than its predecessors. Only time will tell of course since the FA24 platform is still fairly new. One thing I’ve personally experienced is the new WRX’s tuning potential. I threw on an ETS intake and got it etuned by Dmann and the power gains/torque gains are definitely remarkable! My WRX is estimated to make around 323 WHP just from the intake and tune and I can definitely feel the power gains, that’s a 52 hp gain from the factory 271hp!! This isn’t to say that the factory 271 HP is terrible. In fact, even bone stock, the car was very fun to drive and had a lot of power to give and feel! (this is coming from someone who used to daily drive a 2019 Mustang GT). Honestly, in some aspects, this car is more fun to drive than my late Mustang, especially when you’re handling tight corners and rain! The car just feels so… safe and glued to the ground that you always feel in control. She’s been running flawlessly at 20k miles and I haven’t had any issues with the car except the infotainment which bugs out from time to time ie. laggy, crashes, freezes, etc, usually happens in extreme temperatures. One other thing is the transmission and the shifter slop. Sometimes downshifting to 2nd gear does not feel too good, it goes in a little rough. 3rd gear also feels a little crunchy from time to time which is sketch. Definitely gotta keep an eye on the transmission! (Thank god it’s a manual, cheaper) Heard the tranny sucks but even with that, only time will tell! I did buy a Cobb shift stop but I haven’t installed it yet (been lazy)! I think when it comes to WRX/STIs, the safest bet is to buy a brand new car with just you as the owner than to buy a used rally car that has potentially been used and abused like crazy by the previous owner, not keeping up with maintenance or going through the proper break in period! You just never know, you can’t trust that people haven’t driven their cars like absolute maniacs before selling them. In conclusion, I’d say go for the new WRX, especially given the fact that a used 2021 STI is around the same price as a brand new 2024 WRX Limited ~$37k. I think it’s a no brainer to buy a WRX new for the same price as a used STI! Just the safer choice all around. Then, if you want more performance just save some money and start modding it, I think the new WRX is definitely the perfect tuner’s car.

@@Ed_370z one other thing to note, I’ve heard this car can burn a lot of oil even at low mileage (owner’s manual says up to 1 quart can be lost between oil changes) however, I haven’t had that issue yet, maybe it is there but I just don’t know because I switch my oil out every 3k miles! Whether it’s the WRX or STI, make sure to always keep up with maintenance. These cars can only be reliable if you do regular oil changes and follow the maintenance intervals. You can’t treat them like a Toyota or Honda and expect the car to still be running reliably.

Hey how does road noise and ride comfort compares to integra type S? I am cross shopping these two, type S used is around limited price
@noondu
@noondu Ай бұрын
Not sure about that because I’ve never driven an integra before. However, I will say the WRX is very stiff and the road noise is quite loud! It’s bearable for an hour long commute though, just gotta have music turned up a bit
@noondu
@noondu Ай бұрын
Another thing to note, good all season tires helps quiet the road noise a tad

i have type r and wrx, type s is an entire performance class of car above wrx (equivalent of sti) and is definitely more comfortable and better nvh, not sure where you're seeing it for such a low price but if fwd is not an issue that's the better buy imo

Appreciate all the replies! Yeah I saw a few type S near me around 42-44K used, and limited around 38K. I am looking at a commute sedan with a manual transmission, I test drove type R. Its a lot of fun but man being it’s civic and low profile tires, you hear everything from the road and low sound isolation was a big disappointment. Good quality all season tires would def help but car still needs some aound deadening for sure
