I would like to mention for anyone confused on 30:10 that the Imam Al Qahtani is not infallible and he will make mistakes, the scholars have said that the verses which talk about the earth being like a carpet means it is a carpet to the human eye, so while the earth itself is round, the human eye sees the ground as flat, this is also the case with the ayat about the sun setting into a muddy spring, as the sun does not actually set into a muddy spring, but rather appears like that to one who is seeing it, In the Quran it says that Allah wraps the night around the day and the day around the night, which proves that the earth is round, Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Tayyimah has talked about the earth being round in his book Majmoo' Al Fataawa, and Allah knows best.
