Good video! Do u have any idea with the extra pulses? It‘s the harmonic components?
@NetworkXIII6 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your kind words, I am glad that you enjoyed the video. I'm not really sure what was causing those extra pulses, however keep in mind that I was greatly exceeding the recommended supply voltage for the circuit when they began to appear.

Dear sir, what’s the aim of using a load capacitance ? Thanks
@NetworkXIII4 жыл бұрын
www.electronicdesign.com/technologies/analog/article/21795717/fundamentals-of-crystal-oscillator-design Load Capacitance Many crystal oscillators operate at the parallel resonance of the crystal and the load capacitance rather than the series resonance of the crystal’s LCR model. The load capacitance is defined as the effective capacitance, external to the crystal package, appearing between the crystal’s terminals. Crystal manufacturers therefore specify a load capacitance to set the crystal’s intended operating frequency. A different load capacitance will produce the wrong frequency.

Network XIII great , thanks . But what’s the difference between operating at parallel than series resonance ?thanks.
@NetworkXIII4 жыл бұрын
The frequency of oscillation will be slightly different in one mode compared to the other. In this circuit, the crystal is operating in parallel mode.

@@NetworkXIII i want to give the gps trigger from Arduino to the oscillator circuit which works in hertz i.e output square wave in mega hertz so how to do it??

@@sanskrutivs9435 I'm not sure of the maximum output frequency from an Arduino digital pin, it depends on which Arduino board you have.

Doing an oscillator with a gate is a bad idea.
@NetworkXIIIOverload9 ай бұрын
The crystal manufacturer put the example circuit using the logic gate in their datasheet.

@@NetworkXIIIOverload I have see so many of these oscillating on an harmonic. You need a special inverter to garantee that the circuit w orks all the time.
