I hear this song and it transports me back to the summer of 2002, when the love between me and a wonderful man I had met was exciting and new, and I would drive over two hours at least twice a week to see him. I would play Norah Jones CD's over and over, singing along with the sunroof open. This April, we'll be celebrating our 18th wedding anniversary. I live for sweet memories like this.

This album was a Christmas gift from my mom, a CD she gave me when money was tight and every penny counted. Yet she knew how much I loved Norah Jones. I was likely too young to fully grasp the weight of the lyrics back then, but I now see the wisdom in her gift. Years later, on a holiday with my family, I still see my mom moving mountains for us, her love always in motion, never just words. This song, in its quiet way, reminds me of the constant love she’s shown us-a love that isn’t just spoken, but lived.

We have all been alone, some of us terribly alone. I had a conversation with a wonderful friend two hours ago who I shared this song with a year or so ago, and she loves this song now too. Sharing, which can be many things, but rarely objects, is one way out. I feel for you. I've been there. With music you are on the right path. "Without music life would be a mistake." Some suggestions: Keith Jarrett (The Koln Concert); Eva Cassidy; Joan Baez; Ana Vidovic (Alhambra; Asturias); Armstrong; Fitzgerald...I could go on all night and into the morning. For what it's worth, as Dylan sang "Said your darkest hour, is right before the dawn". Sometimes it's even true. Be well.

It took a longtime, To find the real and deep reason I so love this song. My mother, was a mean abusive, neglecting person. A alcoholic with bipolar disorder. The treatment for that in the 60's were very severe.... The few times, my mother would be a mom. She would sound like Norah. And the words fit her....... So many bad things in our lives, can hold us down. Finding the good, and letting go of the bad. Helps to raise above them. Thank You Norah Jones, For helping..... With the healing.

Omg I haven’t heard this song in 10 years. I remember it was my boyfriend and I sing in highschool. We went together to get out first tattoos together and on the way home he pulled the truck over with this song playing, turned up the radio as loud as possible and we slow danced on the side of the highway. Beautiful memory we shared. We are not together but remained friends through the years. I can’t believe I forgot about this song. 🤍

I was working with this singer who had a hard time singing this song. She worked hard and got it right but was very conscious. I told her to forget everything and just sway to the music and sing as I played the guitar... She sang like an angel. When the song ended, both of us said Wow, our eyes met. We fell in love at the moment over this song. She's my soulmate. I lost her 5 years ago. I know I will never see her again. But she's my most beautiful memory. This song and her memories are my most special and they will go with me till grave..

i once had a friend who loved Norah so deeply. we smiled at his music selection as he was such an unassuming guy. We lost him a number of years ago. It has taken this long to listen to this song again. Norah if you knew for a second the impact your music had, you would be rich till your end of days. maybe not earthly riches but the angels would definitely be on your side. For the days are dark and the nights longer, my brothers in arms are numerous and stronger. and although they may not recognise their gift, we await the call your songs our souls do lift.

Here because this some pretty much encompasses what it's like to be smitten and madly in love. This song takes me back to a time I was madly in love for the first time in my life. I didn't experience this emotion until my early twenties. I fell head over heels for this guy during our FIRST date. I knew I was gonna marry him. No one writes about this side of love much anymore. Artists seem to prefer writing songs about sex and bad breakups rather than a romantic song.

I saw Norah about 6 months before her record was released, she was in Charlie Hunter's band playing electric piano, and was just wildly funky. I was blown away and bought her demo , which was so different than the Stevie Wonder stuff she was doing that night. I was touring in Montana when this single came on the radio and I was so happy for her and for the state of the industry at that moment that in 02 an artist like that could still make it.
