I hear this song and it transports me back to the summer of 2002, when the love between me and a wonderful man I had met was exciting and new, and I would drive over two hours at least twice a week to see him. I would play Norah Jones CD's over and over, singing along with the sunroof open. This April, we'll be celebrating our 18th wedding anniversary. I live for sweet memories like this.

Yep. I remember 2003 walking to a job interview cause I was new to the city and ni buses went that way. It started raining and I got to soaked. I got their as the office was closing soaking wet. They felt sorry for me and told me to come back the next day. I got the job which led to Ive been working in that industry ever since.

I remember when I first heard this song. Actually this album. I was living in Ohio, and I was sitting in a library, reading a book and sipping on a some hot chocolate, and the snow was falling outside. I know it's strange but, now, every winter I put this album on and I'm right back in that moment. Amazing how certain songs speak to us.

I chose this song at my grandma's funeral after she passed away during lockdown. It was the final song as we walked away from her coffin and I feel that she did 'come away with me' that day. We would drive for miles in her car listening to this song and I played it to her when she was in the hospice (before we weren't allowed to visit her) which although she couldn't speak.. She smiled like she was reminiscing. I love you grandma.. Until we meet again. SB ❤️ XXXX

When I was pregnant with my daughter in 2003 this was the song I would play and sing to her, and I would visualize her and I together and happy. When I was in labor I had a really hard time, so my sister played this song on a loop for hours, it connected me to my daughter and calmed me through the back labor. This song still fills me with love for my beautiful daughter who is now an adult and just as beautiful as this song.

Thank you for your service. When I was very young (I’m 17 now) my father was very abusive to my mother and me. Sometimes it would get so bad that we’d have to leave and mother would listen to this and all of John Mayor’s stuff and she’d just drive. She’d drive until we barely had gas in the car and I’d fall asleep crying to this. Nora and John’s works have a very emotional value to me. Again, thank you for defending our nation.

The treatment for that in the 60's were very severe.... The few times, my mother would be a mom. She would sound like Norah. And the words fit her....... i once had a friend who loved Norah so deeply. we smiled at his music selection as he was such an unassuming guy. We lost him a number of years ago. It has taken this long to listen to this song again. Norah if you knew for a second the impact your music had, you would be rich till your end of days. maybe not earthly riches but the angels would definitely be on your side. For the days are dark and the nights longer, my brothers in arms are numerous and stronger. and although they may not recognise their gift, we await the call your songs our souls do lift.

Omg I haven’t heard this song in 10 years. I remember it was my boyfriend and I sing in highschool. We went together to get out first tattoos together and on the way home he pulled the truck over with this song playing, turned up the radio as loud as possible and we slow danced on the side of the highway. Beautiful memory we shared. We are not together but remained friends through the years. I can’t believe I forgot about this song. 🤍

The first CD he ever gave me was Norah Jones...and I remember, like the song says... laying in bed, his arms, listening to rain on our tin roof, while feeling so safe... In 2 weeks I will be playing this song at his memorial service. I miss him so much. 1/23/21***I now have a memorial tattoo that says "Come Away with Me, And I'll Never Stop Loving You...4-8-20..." Here because this some pretty much encompasses what it's like to be smitten and madly in love. This song takes me back to a time I was madly in love for the first time in my life. I didn't experience this emotion until my early twenties. I fell head over heels for this guy during our FIRST date. I knew I was gonna marry him. No one writes about this side of love much anymore. Artists seem to prefer writing songs about sex and bad breakups rather than a romantic song.

I saw Norah about 6 months before her record was released, she was in Charlie Hunter's band playing electric piano, and was just wildly funky. I was blown away and bought her demo , which was so different than the Stevie Wonder stuff she was doing that night. I was touring in Montana when this single came on the radio and I was so happy for her and for the state of the industry at that moment that in 02 an artist like that could still make it.

I know this may be overlooked but I really have no one to talk to. My baby boy turns 1 in 3 weeks and a few days ago this song suddenly rested in my spirit. I put it on and played it repeatedly, and for the first time in over a year, I felt a sense of peace that I haven’t experienced in a long time (even with baby crashing into the walls with his walker 😅). I’ll never forget again how this song made me feel in such a time when I needed the peace and comfort. God bless you, Ms. Jones.

We have all been alone, some of us terribly alone. I had a conversation with a wonderful friend two hours ago who I shared this song with a year or so ago, and she loves this song now too. Sharing, which can be many things, but rarely objects, is one way out. I feel for you. I've been there. With music you are on the right path. "Without music life would be a mistake." Some suggestions: Keith Jarrett (The Koln Concert); Eva Cassidy; Joan Baez; Ana Vidovic (Alhambra; Asturias); Armstrong; Fitzgerald...I could go on all night and into the morning. For what it's worth, as Dylan sang "Said your darkest hour, is right before the dawn". Sometimes it's even true. Be well.

She has such a distinct voice. It's so calming to me. It brings back memories of my brother-in-law, who introduced me to Norah Jones. He passed away way too young. I miss him terribly.

This song brings sweet memories and all the feels of when I met my soul mate in high school. I dreamed of marrying him and living happily ever after while hitting repeat on this lovely tune. My dreams came true and we married. Been together 21 years now and life is even better than I dreamed of. ❤️🙏🏼

I'm so glad my parents raised me to recognize people who can ACTUALLY sing from a young age. There's no manipulation here....just beauty. TIMELESS BEAUTY...and Im not talking about her face.

Wholly agree, and for many years I never really considered her physical appearance, but she's actually been quite blessed there as well, truth be told. And she's aged incredibly gracefully. A point I realised from watching a LOT of live performances by her on youtube.

I remember my art teacher in high school used to play this song during our classes while we'd be working on our art projects. Definitely the experience I most associate this song with. He's retired now, but I bet he still plays this every once in awhile still!

@@erichill612 Making art is always more fun when you have some good music playing in the background to help motivate you. Sometimes being in art class exposes you to music you wouldn't normally be into, which can be an enriching experience all on its own.

i remember hearing this song for the first time , i was 8/9 and my mother had just bought the album. i was watching dragon ball z , they had just got to planet namek to fight frieza but i honestly dont remember what happened on that particular episode because this album was so good , i had never heard something that made me feel the emotions that i was feeling. this album truly shaped my ear for music and what kind of music i would go on to like. i love this song , thank you Norah.
