Northern California has been a grind since moving out here. I went out today to relax and try to find some fish at a local lake. Things have been tough but I'll pull through and get back on the winning side of things shortly.

Casey, man, I appreciate you showing the struggle. It’s real and it’s just part of the game. You caught fish the last two videos and from what I saw, it looked like you were, in fact, fishing good. Thanks for keeping it real.

Thanks brotha. I’m trying to keep it real and not do the KZbin fake fun voice haha.. I’ll figure these lakes out eventually. Just keep putting down the time on the lakes. 🍻🍻👍🏻 let’s hit up a lake soon

Texas ridged Robo worms. Favorite color is margarita mutilator. Love the videos.
@CramersPage10 күн бұрын
Definitely going to have to drag a worm or grub through this lake. It’ll take me a few trip to dial in on what works on each lake out here. I’m sure it’s going to be Texas rig everything. Robo worm has come up a few times in the comments. Thanks brotha 🍻🍻🍻😎🎣

Casey I feel your pain. Yes it can be tough fishing here in Nor Cal but belive me you will have those days where things will start to click and the pieces will come together. For grass lakes I have been doing very well on a Carolina rig with some type of plastic worm that floats so that the bass can see it above the grass. Give that try hopefully that helps.
@CramersPage13 күн бұрын
Thanks brotha. It’s crazy to be so dialed in on a type of fishing (Arizona) and then move to somewhere new and have everything completely change. when I saw these grass lakes I thought Carolina rig and punching. Right now I have no confidence baits and I’m all over the place throwing different lures. I’ll eventually settle in on what works and be able to powerfish those lures. Time on the water will be the key to success. Thanks man for the comment 👍🏻🍻🍻🍻😎

It's all a learning curve. From my point of view catching some is better than none. I like the videos

Thanks Gary. It’s been rough but I’m sure once it “clicks” I’ll be back in my groove. It’s a different pace of fishing. Im use to burning the reel in AZ and up here the water is so dirty I have to slow down and fish a spot for a while before moving on. Thanks man 🍻🍻😎

I feel you. I was into the surf fishing scene in SoCal and trout in the sierras. I moved to Nevada and had to learn bass and striper fishing. I was frustrated at first but gradually got better and better. Keep up the videos. They are great.

It’s crazy how much things can change chasing the same fish.. it’s confidence in your technique and trusting your technique. Right now I feel like a crackhead throwing everything and trusting nothing. The table has definitely turned but I’m out here learning man. Thanks brotha 🍻🍻👍🏻😎

Northern California is more complicated to fish in. Southern California, particularly San Diego County is like fishing in the South and across the Midwest. Fish are hungry, aggressive at times and act predictably. I have found NorCal bass to be easily spooked and the estuary-run steelhead are extremely wary of hooks. Crappie and bluegill are the most cooperative almost everywhere, but if you want a trophy fish, try grass shrimp for sturgeon, white and green, on the deep stretches of Suisun Bay near the Carquinez Strait.
@CramersPage13 күн бұрын
Hmm interesting. I don’t fish much for other species but sturgeon is a bucket list fish for me. There’s techniques for fishing in Northern California that guys use all the time that I would use probably 25% of the time. I just have to get better with fishing out here. Time on the water is key. Keep grinding 🍻🍻🍻🍻😎😎🎣👍🏻

@@CramersPage Understandable, that’s the delta though, she was shut down there for a few weeks, but now it’s wide open. Just remember, it’s mostly a crawdad and frog fishery. They will start chasing mow towards the fall. Drop shot and Senko are always go to fish catchers here if you absolutely need a bite. Just need to learn running the tides. Try and hit the high tide if you can. Always a solid bite.
@CramersPage13 күн бұрын
@@baitchuckin a lot of the boats drive way out during tournaments. I hardly see tournament guys fish near a ramp. Sounds like the better bite is towards Stockton area. It’s a big place to figure out in a kayak. I’ll just keep grinding. It’s the only way to learn. 👍🏻🍻🍻
@loscheleros61013 күн бұрын
Hey man youll figure it out. Keep at it. I was on the delta this past weekend and cought 2 small bass. I think the bite is tough every where, even the pros got skuncked on the delta. Cheers!!

Thanks brotha. It’s a dream to be out here and I’m getting smacked around. I’ve heard the same from boat tournaments guys. 5 years ago bags were weighing in the 30lbs range and now they’re close to 20lb -24lbs. I gotta keep grinding and learn new techniques. 🍻🍻🍻👍🏻😎thanks for the comment

@@beastieboy5020 are you fishing towards Stockton?
@CramersPage13 күн бұрын
@@beastieboy5020 yeah that’s what I’ve been hearing a lot of the tournament guys are launching driving like 45 minutes out towards Stockton. They had kayak tournament 2 weeks ago and the top 10 kayaks were fishing from down there. It seems to be good the further you go inland. Have you seen sea lions down in your area?
@CramersPage13 күн бұрын
@@beastieboy5020 total speculation..I think the sea lions have to play a role in the lower bass population. We had 6 sea lions down here during spawn and were tossing around bass. I think that’s why Stockton and the inland areas do a little better… iduno just a thought .. I’ll be down in your area this weekend or the next 👍🏻🍻🍻🍻
@CramersPage13 күн бұрын
@@beastieboy5020 agree. The fish are there I’ve just never fished around sea lions haha. The last time I went the water was so low at franks I could barely get through with my trolling motor. If it’s that shallow what do you throw? There’s so much grass the majority of the area doesn’t make sense for most techniques. Everyone at franks is at the wall punching. Just seems like that area has constant pressure

My guy! You live on one of the best fisheries in the US!!! It doesn’t happen overnight at the delta, you gotta put the time in, trust me I’ve gone week after week after week getting my teeth kicked in. But always learning and sooner then later it’s guna happen for you. Especially rn, post spawn fish all over the delta all they wana do is eat. Punch punch punch punch punch and throw a chatterbait and a frog or a Choppo, senko and a drop shot. I promise you’ll get bit.

@@CramersPage by far the best months to be on Clear Lake are mid July through October! Post spawn fish smash a 6” Senko neko rigged, swim bait and top water, frogs etc. August the bass move to docks and willows and it’s the drop shot and chatter bait. Sept and Oct I throw spinnerbaits because I love spinnerbaits! The winter months are good I hear, but they have always kicked my ass.
