For the New Year our small group of Norco locals decided to get off the beaten path and try something new. Jay & Carlos joined me on the ride, they're always down to explore local spots. There are a few good trails that come down from Mt. Two Bit, which is on the South East corner of Norco, CA. The hill has a flag on top and a beautiful view from the top, but the climb is STEEP and keeps a lot of people away, and you definitely don't see many people lapping this area. There are a few Downhill trails we ride from the top of that hill, the most well known is Sinister Descent which is a bit of a flow trail that comes down the North side of the hill and drops you right where you start the climb. There are 2 much lesser known trails, a brand new one called Social Distancing and an Oldie that no one has really ridden in a few years called Angry Pigeon. We decided to check out these two lesser traveled downhill trails... and then wrapped it up with Sinister Descent to drop us back headed toward home. Super fun ride, a successful exploration and both these trails have great potential

My Story:
I got my first real bike at 40 years old... I've always loved the outdoors, spent a lot of my youth snowboarding, skating, surfing. I settled down in Norco, CA with an awesome wife and 2 kids. Our house sits at the base of a pretty sweet lil MTB spot. The stars aligned when I NEEDED to be more active for my physical health (to counter act my daily 2hr commute, and 8-12hr desk job as a video editor) and I realized that I essentially had a snowboard park in my back-yard... just no snow, and I'd have to translate my 20 year+ of snowboarding experience to something brand new... Now, Mountain Biking is rapidly improving my life for the better in more ways than I can express. I'm sure many riders have had the same experience with this sport. That's my story.
Now, I want to collect some trail videos to track my progress, and share with my friends to entice them to come out and ride. Also, the kids enjoy watching my adventures.
Enjoy!
