NORCOLD RV REFRIGERATOR BROKEN DOOR | How To Repair with Hinge Upgrade

In this video I repair our broken Norcold RV Refrigerator door. After our bottom hinge snapped off I found out this is a common issue with these doors. Our RV is 15 years old and we've been having issues with our door not working properly for a while now. This was a good excuse to replace our door with a new one. I also found a hinge upgrade part made of metal that supports the plastic door hinge. Make sure you keep your old door as you will need to pull out your panel and use it for the new door. I've linked the parts below and Amazon was the cheapest that I found them.

Where did you get the door. I am having a hard time finding a left swing door for my Winnebago view

Can I ask why you ordered a new door? Seems most people just put on the hing update kit and us the same day. I’m asking because mine just brook this last weekend

The plastic collar snapped off of ours. The update clip just slides on and doesn't really attach to the door. I'm sure you could probably get away with that, but I feel like it wouldn't operate correctly. Our door was also not working well. It's a 15 year old RV and this new door opens and closes perfectly. If I didn't have 5 other projects to complete I probably would have spent more time tinkering. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching!

Can't you just replace the trim? Why did you replace the whole door?
