Wow, right off the bat, SoftShimmer is a lovely sound! Do you find the Stage 3 meets most of your synth needs?

Thank you, and - no. It can do a lot and the overall sound is very good, but Nord has decided to cut too many things. For that price I expected more. I am sure they could have done more, but I can only speculate why they did this.

@@Kaffimusic Thanks for the feedbak and your demo. Just out of curiosity, I'm about to buy a Nord Stage 3 too; which 2-3 main features do you think are lacking and which synth (or synth/keyboard combo of roughly the same price) whould you rather chosse and why? Thanks :)

@@mathieusavoie8822 Too little number of synth/sample layers (just 2), no velocity switching, limited synth parameter, little modulation sources, no free splitpoints. When I was into pinao-keybeds, I´d get the Kurzweil K27 now. Sound has class and is not so far apart from the Nords, but with way more possibilites (small example: 16 times 32 layers of synth possible, same number of splitpoints - if you need that...) premium FX departement, grown up sequencer, drums, real FM, big sampling RAM, all the bells an whizzles already in the machine... well, it´s a workstation. The Nord is a moon, the Kurzweil a solar system. But: The Nord is easy to use, the Kurz way harder to program. I have no problems with that. I am into Kurzweil for years. I am back to it now. The Nord is nice, I really liked the basic sound, but for the features, it should be way cheaper. Good instrument, but not for that money.

Hello and thank you for your interest. Well... I do not control the website where it is sold. Maybe I could ask the owner (Barb) to do that. But... just look and compare what others ask for a bunch of sounds. On Barb´s site with 15,-EUR for 50+ sounds, we are really, I mean REALLY cheap, and the sounds are of at least decent, if not very good quality. Please understand.

So and what's with your Kurzweil PC3K6? Alreready sold or is it somewhere in the basement? By the way that device is good, but only there is a keyboard for children. FATAR 40 like KURZWEIL would be there, everything would be great, otherwise... not very, especially if you have strong hands and fingers, then playing NORDs is not very pleasant.

The Nord is sold and the PC3k6 is on stage with a PC4. You think the keybed of the Nord is bad? Wait until you tried the one in the PC4.
