Hi, per your suggestion, I just watched this again so I could get the official tour of your 47. The layout delights me! I mentioned in a previous message that we are currently RVers living in south Texas, USA. There's a great similarity between the 2 lifestyles, though we don't worry about tides and weather so much! You chart your passages, find safe harbors, and we use route planners, and find campgrounds/RV parks. Provisioning is very similar, though you have much more freezer space and may not have ready access to grocery stores. My freezer space is the size of 2 stacked shoe boxes! Both lifestyles involve careful and detailed planning. Your boat is slightly larger than our motorhome and includes extra cabins. (BTW, I really like the layout which includes the desk area.) We rarely camp with other people along, so might need only one guest cabin. Good to have if one of you is ill or something. I have lots of questions to ask you if you'd be willing to chat through messaging. Thanks for your responses so far. I'm looking forward to your 2022 travels.

Great idea of doing the tour like this and I can tell you that you have a hack of a lot more power sockets than we do and ours is a 49' trawler (not a Nordhavn though). Beautiful boat and in tip top shape.

My old boat had 2 in the cockpit, 4 wheelhouse, 2 galley, 2 forepeak. 4 dining/lounge. The grand total of 7 doubles. No TV, water maker, or microwave, did have a generator bought from B&Q. Always tried to moor near a pub. Thanks for the tour, you can pop over to Waitrose now for a coffee. Cheers

What an interesting point of view. I never would have guessed that many. I would have guessed a few more in the engine room. Nice boat! Cheers

Hi Guys, nice to see you here; just discovered your channel! We occupied your berth for a few weeks this summer and at the time of making this video, were on your port-quarter; currently in K7. Wanderlust is a beautiful boat. Do you think a previous owner may have been an electrician bringing home 'one piece at a time'? Fabulous.

My flat only has 12 sockets! But it is only a studio flat and so is considerably less expensive. I do love a Nordhavn though!

When he said something a little different I thought maybe someone would show one of these boats in a storm with huge wave breaking over the bow, I'm still waiting.

Hi thanks for the walk through. What's the longest passage you have done on your stunning ship? I would to take a boat like that around the world. Thanks
@Bloater
@Bloater 4 жыл бұрын
Our longest passage so far is only about 48 hours without stopping. As my wife is not yet retired (and we don’t live aboard) we have only so far been around the U.K. coastline... and therefore there is no need to be at sea for longer periods than this without a break. I think a trip around the world will have to wait for the next owner - the Med and Europe will be more than enough for us.

Hello mate, can I ask a question... can you run the air con without running generator?
@Bloater
@Bloater 4 жыл бұрын
Yes we can, as long as we are connected to shore power. The boat has the ability to run the air con off a dedicated shore power connection if we desire, or we can just use the one connection, or we can use the generator.

Is your boiler the only source of heating your boat? Did you have to install radiators all over the boat when you installed the boiler. Nice boat.
@Bloater
@Bloater 3 жыл бұрын
We also have reverse cycle air conditioning but we’ve found that it has poor performance in heating mode when the sea temperature falls below 6’C. This is why we added a boiler. We added 6x Fan Coil Units throughout the boat. Below in the cabins they are ducted under the floor. Wherever we added them they are hidden so you wouldn’t know we had them. There are no radiators - all are forced air FCUs.

Great but no sockets will do.. European standard sockets are so much better and slicker than these bulky, chubby f*ckers. Huge cost to convert the electrical system.
