Nordic Winter - A Ski Trip in Swedish Lapland

This is a short video about my second winter trip in the north of Sweden. Overall, I spent 8 days in the mountains. My route was the following:
Abisko - Alesjaure - Tjäktja - Šielmmávággi - Nallo - Vistas - Alesjaure - Abisko
Again, I was lucky to experience a spectacular display of the northern lights.

Very nice video of your trip. Brought back some good memories. I did almost this in reverse 3 years ago. The Nallo valleys (from Vistas and to Salka) are just so beautiful. The ice in the Vistasvegge reminded me of having the same at that area. Very tricky to get through! Can’t wait to get back again in March.

Thank you! The weather was often sunny with nights slightly below -20°C. During the day the temperatures were around -10°C.

Hi Stefan, welche Schuhe, skier und Bindungen nutzt du? Ich war die letztens 2 Jahre zusammengenommen, 6 monate im Sommerlichen Fjäll und auch mal im Oktober auf Schneeschuhen. Die Auswahl der Skier und dem was dazu gehört verunsichert mich aber :) LG Paul.

Hallo Paul, ich habe die Skier ehrlich gesagt geliehen. Für meine nächste Wintertour werde ich mir aber voraussichtlich eigene Ski zulegen. Es wird oft der Fischer E99 Crown empfohlen. Ich kann Dir nur das Forum outdoorseiten.net ans Herz legen. Dort werden solche Fragen diskutiert :-). VG, Stefan

Mostly there is no signal at all. Close to the towns/villages or sometimes on mountains you may get coverage.

Either by satellite phone/messenger or if you can reach a hut, they usually have an emergency phone.
