OMG, I just love you, Marc! ❤️🙂I have veganized so many of your recipes, and they are always such a delight! Japanese dishes are my go-to comfort food, I just love it and after spending some time in Osaka, Japanese food has become the food for the soul for me! Oishikatta desu! 🙏🏻

Thank you 😊 I'm happy to hear you've been able to adapt my recipes. I do try and make it as easy as possible to adapt and if you haven't checked already, I usually include plant-based substitution suggestions on the full recipe on my website. Have a great week!

That is one of the most beautiful pork chops I've ever seen! I laughed when you said it wasn't the best-looking dish -I was watching the video because of the picture.😆 I don't eat meat and my husband has issues with garlic, but your instruction and enthusiasm makes me want to try this dish. I love having a window on Japanese culture, even if I haven't seen the program you reference. Thank you Marc! Your videos always make me joyful.

Thanks Kathy your comment made my morning😁! The magic of this dish is in the sauce (and garlic) so you can use the same process for tofu if you want to try it out.

Tried it out today. Nice flavour. But no need to salt the meat :) THX, Marc.

I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it Andrea. We usually eat this with plain rice here, so it's deliberately on the salty side, but you can certainly leave it out if you feel it's too much.

Sir ohayou from the Philippines..you know I've been watching your channel recently and really learn so much from it.. I just want to ask you sir what will be a replacement if you don't have shaoxing wine? Thank you sir..🙂
@NoRecipes2 жыл бұрын
Thank you Elena, I'm glad to hear my channel has been helpful! As for the Shaoxing wine, you can substitute it with sake or mirin. If you use mirin, you will want to halve the amount of honey.

Wow, Sensei! You elevated that pork! The way you plated it is how I would have done it, if I had a bunch more talent! haha
