Small build focusing on making quite a nice shop/bar build out of the boxcars.

There are 2 opinions on Fallout 4: -It is the worst Fallout game, which still makes it one of the best games in history (these people hate all the DLCs except Far Harbor) -I am too busy building to care about the storyline. (These people love all the DLC)

I actually like settlement building, I just hate the DLC because most of the items from these DLC's were already in mods. Actually, come to think of it, there are more items on some mods like Homemaker (which is free) than in all the Bob-the-Bulder packs combined (all of which are $5.00 individually.)

Dylan Eyer Almost every modded item was already in the game, the mods just give you the ability to build them. Which is funny considering that's what a lot of the DLC is; items already in the game that you've just been given permission to use. The difference being that one is free, and the other isn't.

Kinda really looking forward to using a few concepts from this in my Oberland Station boxcar hotel suites. Using the scaffolding to build leisure areas on top of the cars is a great idea, kinda interested to see how well it would work to build skyways between em, over top of the farm. It's almost a shame, this DLC made a ton of the Far Harbor building stuff kinda obsolete, once you get off the island. The sorta rusty corrugated metal look fits so much better in the commonwealth.

Hey just experimented with warehouse roofs and repairing the roofs in Sanctuary. It works. Stack two warehouse half-walls, sloping roof piece, crown, sloping roof piece. You need the triangular walls on the sides to do it. Build out roof. Then use the concrete post glitch. Delete the lower half-wall. Keep the upper one temporarily to help with placement. Etc., etc. I'm sure you get the picture. Pretty good results, and you don't have to double stack shack floors to block out the light anymore!

Respawn I found out something cool you can do with the new conduits! As of now the conduits kind of just fly around unless you have really flat land so when experimenting I found this out: If you make the entire circuit of your desire and connect everything up then use the pillar glitch you can make it so all of your power is like 90% underground! The only time power will be visible is when your making a direct connection like to the generator or to a turret.

Daavee, Bethesda put out a video showing off contraptions and one of the guys shouted out this idea, he was like "I've seen people do really cool things with these box cars like put stores in them and turn them into little stores" or something like that.

I used both rug glitches last play through without problem but they seem 10 times more finicky now so it's good to see you're having a little difficulty too.

I too love the DLC, but it has given me no small amount of heartache. I had been fighting for months to get my Settlers at Greygarden and Finch Farm to consistently live up on the overpasses, trying aligning and building and rebuilding all kinds of stairs to no great success. I was REALLY hoping elevators would be the answer, but as of right now they're one of the hardest things to place, they're a fixed height, and settlers are too stupid to use them unless I act as a bellman.

Just a quick one I am loving your videos I have learned alot of tricks for making settlements from your videos. I just want to point out that the ramps snap to the scafolding floors you could have snapped one to the box car then put down the ramp then taken the floor away and placed down the prefab.

Robbie Miller Ya its amazing, I found it out when trying to place a guard post inside of a concrete curve. I placed the guard post on the rug and put a pillar near the rug. I held A (Xbox) on the pillar and was able to place it anywhere I want at any height I wanted.

Can you try to find a way to lower the elevators into the ground? Neither the pillar nor the rug glitch seem to work. You can't even snap them to already lowered platforms. I hate floating objects. :/

This was my response from Bethesda which obviously is no help so I replied and I guess hopefully I have an answer soon. "I understand how you feel. I've been there. Rest assured, I'm going to do everything I can to help you. The Contraptions add-on content is available to you at any point in the game so long as you have a Settlement and Workshop available to your character. Simply find a Workshop to get started! Note: The Contraptions add-on content does not provide the necessary resources or unlock the perks required to craft certain things. You may need to gather materials and unlock the perks manually."

Elevator floors use the height of warehouse and barn walls.

Scaffolding frames clip to floor pieces tediously. From there, you can add the floor planks to them.

I think the problem was that 'brexit' was so damn rabid abt it and a lot of 'remain' just assumed it'd be ok, other people would vote remain as a majority so they didn't bother. The map of hotspots of leave versus remain voting is quite telling, I thought. I'm trying to remain optimistic, there's still ways this can be challenged, I think though not entirely sure of the process following the referendum so...could parliament refuse to accept the result & not put forward the bill, if so then I'm assuming if they do put the bill through then it'll have to pass through the Lords still & they can hopefully veto it??

The mat glitch you just gotta make sure it isn't in the ground and on the mats, pillar glitch you just put a pillar close to the item you want to sink into the ground, hold X on PS4 or whatever your interact key is and you'll grab the pillar and the item.
