In this video, I am back on the trail, walking the stunning Norfolk Coastal Path from the seaside town of Cromer on the North Norfolk coast to the fast disappearing village of Happisburgh. A mixture of sandy beach walking, lofty cliff top trails and quaint, richly historical coastal villages, bring me finally to my camp spot on top of the crumbling cliffs, constantly under attack from the destruction of the sea beneath.
I devour a well earned and needed dinner and relax before falling fast asleep to the sound of the crashing waves and the heavy rain as a storm passes over, all warm and cozy inside my bivvi.
I ended up walking further than intended for this day, as my planned camping spots turned out to be unsuitable - sometimes the spot you see on the map and the reality when you get there are quite different. On the plus side, I’ll have a shorter walk tomorrow!
I hope you enjoy the video and please tune in for part 2.
Thanks for watching!

@@simonablokeinthewoods Thank you for your wonderful video's, Simon. I've followed you as a subscriber for a while... Love the Broads videos, the Norfolk beaches, I miss the sea so much having moved to Ontario, Canada. Beautiful lakes, rugged camping and hiking, but too fsr away from the Oceans, east or west. I miss that salty, bracing sea air! Thank you for bring it to me, until I can return to my homeland. Best wishes to you for 2021.

Closest thing I can find in the US to the spicy cheese n jalapeno spread is 1oz MRE packets of jalapeno cheese. I can't believe I just bought 2 packets of O'Boy for $24 because of this channel. I love it so much.

An informative & genuine look at the Norfolk coast path which I've been mulling over. Or the Hadrian's Wall path. After a great insight from Simon, showing how it is, I've learned enough to make a decision that's right for me. I hope his DSLR was ok

From Colorado USA. At 10k ft. Altitude.....My main pack food is Mountain House..great stuff for sure. In the 70s my friend and I thought to try their new product...blueberry pancake . We added water and a monster grew out of the package. It foamed over everything and wouldn't cook...so we buried it a distance from camp. Next morning their was a blue blob trail over four feet from the whole down hill. We laughed it off as another trail memory and when we got back home watched a scifi classic.."The Blob" ....great memories to hou Simon..you did another great video! May your steps on the trail be sure and your fire warm at night!

It's silly, but I really enjoy when Simon uses "squeezy cheese" on trips. Here in the States, the squeezy cheese we have is Easy Cheez and it's just chock full of preservatives and is absolutely a "cheese food product" and not actual cheese, so many of us don't eat it, especially those of us who do wilderness camping. Seeing that the UK and other places have ACTUAL cheese in tubes is fascinating and is something I REALLY want to try some day. Thanks for sharing, Simon!

Primula had so many flavours about 25 years ago & had real pieces of the featured flavouring in it (garlic & herb, ham, shrimp, etc). It was good stuff but I recall it had to be kept at low temperatures otherwise it'd spoil.

It's fortunate that you found that little stand of trees to set up camp. Seems like a nice little stealth camp. There is no way you'd catch me setting up on the beach, lol. Knowing my luck even if i was higher up a storm would pop up and send a storm tide in and swamp me.
